I don't think Princeton is in a position to make the playoffs, therefore Sdao could be playing in either Bingo or Ottawa in two weeks.

I hope we sign Calof off of that Princeton squad.

Hopefully he starts going on a tear now. He has 4 goals and 2 assists in his past two games.

Noesen seems to be a really hot and cold player, not that that would be unusual at his age. According to Plymouth fans on this board, that may not be his fault though. Sounds like the coach is moving him in every which way in that lineup. So maybe when hes not producing up to our expectations stat wise, hes playing different roles.

Lucky for us, hes a player that wont need to be relied upon at the next level in the scoring department. I think a year minimum in the AHL should be expected, but I know Murray loves the kid, ad he is a Maclean type player so who knows.

From what I see, if he's playing with good scoring people, he can score as well. If he's paired with shut down guys, he can do that was well. I hope he gets a strong look on our scoring lines.

Noesen might end up being more of a 3rd liner to start his career but we'll see him push for minutes on the 1st PP unit as a net presence. He might be the best prospect in hockey at deflections. Gonna score a lot that way ala Ryan Smyth.

Rakell being sent back is very good for the Whalers, They should push for a spot in the Mem cup. Too bad Miller wasn't still with the squad.

I hope you're right. It's something we could really use. I like Neil, but we could use a true big man with a scoring touch in front of the net on the PP.

Noesen is literally like Corey Perry when he was drafted. Great shot, great vision, IQ, grit, work ethic, hands around the net but questionable skating.

Noesen has already done remarkable strides to improve his skating but it's still not there yet. If he continues to improve that and refine his overall game he will be a solid top 6er in the league.

Noesen is going to be one of those invaluable guys in the playoffs. I see him being an absolute monster in the post season.

Couldn't agree more - Noesen will be a beast in the playoffs for us. One can only hope, in a few years time:

Michalek Spezza Perry
Silfverberg Turris Stone
Smith Z-Bad Noesen
etc... (O'Brien, Grant, Condra, Greening?, and so on).

What a gangster, badass third line!

Not sure if this has been posted or not yet:

Pretty smart decision in my opinion. The more time he can spend on the ice developing his game the better.

nice find thanks.

i think with wikstrand it might be better for him to come over to the ahl instead of going to the SEL. he seems to like logging ice time and special teams time and he wont get as much as hed like in the SEL compared to the ahl.

might be a better development path for him

Would this be the equivalent of a player returning for their overager year in the CHL?

Yes, kind of, but if he was a top CHL player and seemingly "done" with the CHL.

I gather you don't agree with Wikstrand's choice? What are your opinions about this steffe?

No, SEL-2 is a men's league and they do the relegation thing there. So Mora could potentially be in the SEL next year, it's just not likely. That's what happened to Zibanejad's team last year - the they were relegated to the lower league for this year.

It's more like being in the AHL and having NHL teams interested in you but you believe that you're going to be getting half the playing time and be watching from the press box occasionally if you go with the NHL. He's 19, playing more is probably better right now.

I think it's like what SlapJack described in a sense. An AHL-lite to an NHL-lite. I agree with his decision as he is going to be the go-to guy on his team on defence for the next season where he can play, as he said, 25 - 30 minutes a game. That would maybe not be the case in the SEL if he were to join an already established middle to top team.

Also had a chance to watch Ceci's last two games. He's starting to look a lot better out there and is playing very well. Can't wait to see if he can crack the roster out of camp next year (not expecting it).
