I have no clue who you guys are that watched this game and thought KO did well. This was one of his worst performances of the season AND he took 2 horrible penalties!!! Any other semi-legit coach would have sat his ass for at least a period! Jesus!
Totally! I mean, look at the all the quality NHLers just waiting in the wings to take his spot!
Hilbert - Comrie - Guerin
Fedotenko - Vasicek - Hunter
Tambellini - Nielsen - Comeau
Bergenheim - Park - Satan
Sutton - Martinek
Johnson - Meyer
Berard - Bergeron
so THIS TEAM won six straight at the START of a rebuild? Before Tavares the saviour?
When Hunter was on his Dave Andreychuk trajectory? and Comeau was leading CAN in the WJC? and Tambellini was destroying AHL goalies and had family pedigree?
btw, Vasicek, RIP!
Andy Hilbert was one of the better NHLers on that team. Incredible. And Fearless Freddy.
Of course the team that did it makes it even worse. Wasn't that the year Comrie lead the team in points with 49?
Anderson made at least 4 really good saves where an Islander was right in front of him all alone. I never said he played better than Hedberg or miller btw, all I said was he was the difference, which he was.
I know you didn't say that, i was just using it as a example. I wonder though if Anderson was the difference or the fact that we just don't have the horses to be a competitive NHL team on a nightly basis had something to do with him being the difference. Meaning if we had some scoring talent (other then our 1st line) maybe we could have been tied or up a goal with some real finishers as opposed to down 2 and another 100+ minute scoreless streak. I can't debate that at the moment because we don't have a great 2nd scoring line nor do we get much out of 3rd and 4th as well, but i will say i would love to see if we did how yesterdays gave might have been different.
