Because MAF is so solid? Not to mention the fact before this game Vokoun had a better save% and GAA.

I actually wanted Pittsburgh to win this game. Both teams get to play the Panthers next who are a joke right now. I expect both teams to win who how incredibly pathetic Florida has been so far.

MAF was horrible against the Flyers in the playoffs last year. I'm pretty sure this was the reason you're seeing Vokoun on that team now.

Maf was also pretty good in the first game of the season against them though.

What part of before this game don't you understand?

Or maybe Bylsma thought before the game "Vokoun is going to have an .813save% tonight, but I'll play him anyway"

Vokoun is the biggest jekyll hyde in the league right now. He sucked with Washington last year, and I watched him play quite often. The stats looked pretty good, but his play did not. He gave up a lot of crap like the one we just saw him give up. I thought Lou would go after him too before Washington traded his rights to Pittsburgh.

Same this year. Great some nights, then comes in and pitches a stinker like tonight.

It's hilarious to read the Pens and Flyers boards right now. The Flyers fans are ignoring all the horrible play from the game and celebrating winning that cluster****, and the Pens fans are frustrated with their soft team that's looking like a powerhouse regular season team that will bow out in the first round.

This was just another game of bad defense by both teams. It's like no defense is played between these two. And bad goaltending, but I thought Bryz was fantastic and none of the goals were on him. Vokoun kept leaving the net, and couldn't get back in it. Then that last goal ooofff.

Beats the hell out of what this board would do in a 6-5 game, win or lose.

They win with Fleury tonight. Voukoun was the goat.

Fleury's a head case. You never know what you're gonna get with him. He's like a box of chocolates like mama always said!

Vokoun would have played tonight anyways - after MAF let in 5 he would have been in by the 2nd period.

Watching other goalies play the puck always makes me appreciate Marty, also reminds me how spoiled we are. Hell watching Moose handle the puck reminds me of that.

I'd start him 100 times in a row for a big game over Voukoun.

Glad Pitts did not get a point if Philly had to win.

Vokoun isn't even a bad goaltender but hindsight is 20/20

St. Louis really seem to be fakes. Especially with reports of locker room unrest. aka the Langenbrunner effect.

Philly has puckmovers?! There's no Chris Pronger or Matt Carle putting on a uniform over there. The only defenseman they have that has more than FIVE points is Timonen with nine.

And after the way Fleury played against the Flyers in the playoffs how you could say definitively he would have done any better tonight is hindsight at best.

He's not even there anymore, he's out for the year or several weeks at least

The minute he dissapeared from the Devils' lineup during the MacLean era they won three of four, then he came back and we lost 5-1 to the Habs with Moose getting pulled in record time

His contract is still on the books. His presence still haunts the room.

He is probably angry at Blues management for him being injured.
