Free throws are the only reason why the Heat/Thunder game was close. Heat dominated from start to finish.
Westbrook needs a babysitter out there. I sometimes think the TNT guys really go overboard with their criticism of Westbrook but he makes so many dumb decisions.
The free throw difference was ridiculous. When the Thunder were making a push midway through the 4th, Westbrook races down the court, passes to Durant, and clearly just elbows Chalmers out the way, and no call. Wade makes a clean steal on Martin and gets called for the foul, then goes to save the ball on the baseline, doesnt touch the OKC player, and fouls out. Heat players were getting hit left and right, but the only calls being made were against them. The Thunder were in the bonus at the 9 minute mark of the 4th. Talk about the refs keeping the Thunder in the game.
And to show how much James really cares about records, he hoisted a 30 footer late in the game, which put him below 60%. Regardless, the guy was once again the best player on the court, and showed who the MVP of the league is, at this point of the season. The Heat have a rough stretch to reach All-Star weekend, going against the Rockets, Blazers, Clippers, Lakers, and Thunder, and they really punished all those teams. But what really impressed me during that stretch was the success they had on the boards, which has been a problem all season. Even with the success they had against the Thunder in the Finals, they are arguably playing their best ball since the big three united.
After getting hate ****ed tonight, the Knicks are now 14-14 since their 18-5 start.
Instead of focusing on how they're going to take out the Heat, Knicks fans should first worry about how their team can win more than one playoff game. Brace yourselves for yet another one and done. #Knickstape!
