I'm a fan who hasn't lived in Tampa for a long time and have seen the Bolts play in Raleigh and Atlanta countless times as well as at the Panthers. I really hate that Atlanta lost the Thrashers as that was a much easier trip from Greenville, SC than to Raleigh.

Here's a clip from Stammer's hattrick at Atlanta a few years back. After he nets the empty net goal you'll notice a couple of Lightning fans cheering behind the net. That's me and my lady friend

Wow that was quite the slewfoot by Buff on stammer there.

"Sweep the leg, you got a problem with that?"

That was the sweetest part... it seems like Buff had robbed Stammer at his chance for a trick until he smoothly eases the puck down the ice and into the net. "Deal With It" to the extreme.

Well if anyone is going to Saturday's game in Boston, you might end up stuck in the arena with Boston fans if that ton of snow arrives.

Well I flew down from Montreal to Tampa for a game. So it's away for me, does that count? Planning on heading to a game when Tampa comes to town too.

That's impossible! But I'll certainly yell my loudest whenever Tampa scores.

I went to a game in Minnesota against the Wild during the most recent playoff season. It was a 3-1 win, late in the season. If I'm not mistaken, we had already made the playoffs and it clinched that the Wild would be golfing in the offseason, so it wasn't the most competitive atmosphere.

That said, had a fantastic experience. Their fans were so gracious - I wore my Lightning sweater and a Rays cap and we sat among season ticket holders, all of whom were tremendously friendly and talkative, chatting about relatives in Florida and even offering to buy my girlfriend and I a beer! Even got some compliments on my sweater (cup-era, with the white shoulderpads) from some Wild employees while checking out their team gift shop. All of this during and after a win - that heartland politeness I guess.

The Xcel Center was really nice too, cozy Northwoods theme, and the parking was easy and cheap. Just an A+ experience all around. I was so impressed by their fans that I usually cheer for the Wild now unless they're playing us.

Minnesotans are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I think it's something in all that lake water. Every time I go back I'm surprised all over again.

We don't use the word impossible around here.

The effort is what counts though.

I was up in Minnesota in early 2006 for a metal music festival and the Wild happened to be in town vs Chicago the first night I was there so my friend and I went to it. It is definitely a nice arena. I liked all the high school and various youth jerseys up on the walls while walking around the arena.

The only away game I've been to so far was when I saw them play Carolina in Raleigh during the '05-'06 season. All I remember is that the Bolts lost, and some guy talked crap to me as I exited the bathroom.

Oh, and Rick Flair.

I'll be at that same game. Driving down from Maryland with my two brothers and sister-in-law. What section will you be in?

Been to 2 here in Vancouver, in 06/07 when they lost and in 10/11 when they won in OT thanks to a Stammer bomb. Would have went to the game this season that was suppose to happen in Van if the season started on time. But that just means ill be going to Tampa in March for my first home game.

Are we talking about this Saturday's game vs. Carolina?

If so, idk where my tickets are yet (I get them through a friend and they always change...likely upper deck), but I will be at this game too! If you see a guy in a blue and black striped beanie (new logo) with a beard, that'd be me!

Nice to see there's a bit of a crew going to the game this weekend!!

Yep!
I'll be sporting my Stamkos third jersey, my brother a Stamkos black ice jersey, my sis-in-law a custom long sleeve shirt with Stammer Time on the back, and my other brother a cup-era VL4 jersey.
Hope to see you there as well!
