What a ****ing joke. They should have made MacDonald the first star, and not Carter, for a clean sweep.

Anyway, goalies are on a roll. Quick and Bernier have begun to form quite a tandem. Hopefully we get Mitchell back sometime soon, then we can really roll to the playoffs.

They really looked like the playoff Kings there. Physical, good forechecking, and relentless pressure on the puck kept the action in the offensive zone for long stretches. Aggressive, coordinated team D kept Calgary's offense on its heels except for a few counterattacks which were stifled by good goaltending. A great all-around effort; I hope they've got their groove back and we can look forward to a lot more games like this after stumbling out of the gate.

If the Kings move the puck like they did tonight, they're going to win a lot more games. Seemed like mostly everyone was on the same page (with the exception being on Calgary's lone goal).

I like what Lewis adds to the Richards-Carter line, and man, what more can be said about Jeff Carter? I can't believe how much Philly fans crapped all over him. Columbus fans I can understand their resentment since Carter didn't want to be there, but we can thank Philly for opening up the possibility of acquiring Carter.

I never knew he was so fast, though, I knew he was fast but his skating and his strides make him so deceptive. Best trade in a long time.

Now you know why good teams like the Canucks look great playing in that weak-ass division.

I thought the second and third were the more fun periods to watch. Mid second, L.A. was passing like a South American futbol team. It was beautiful.

Everything in the second after the PP was excellent. Those breakouts full of one touch passes brought back very good memories. Tape to tape, dominant passing.

Seriously, I'd like to thank Holmgren (again) for being a moron and making it possible for us to land both Richards and Carter.

I'm just baffled as to how much hate Carter received from the Philly fanbase. Then again, they pretty much turn on any athlete there.

Just like I was saying in the Semin thread; the general perception of many public figures is often completely false or totally exaggerated. Carter is just another example.

Concur.

But really, those locker room incidents that surfaced can divide a team. No one knows the extent of that crap, but all of that should have remained there.
