Yes, Sekera practiced and was paired with Sulzer in Ehrhoff's absence.

Just heard a clip on Hockey Central from Barnaby saying he's convinced that Reiger's hand was forced...

Everyone should listen to this now if you can...really refreshing to hear different voices talk about the Sabres...

Anyone can see that they're in a transition/rebuild phase. Not sure why it's such a big deal.

I love that Porter is getting his shot. He has Matt Ellis's work ethic, but he's more gritty and better offensively.

Grigorenko being scratched again makes zero sense.

They're still trying to win. They clearly don't think he can help them win right now, begging the question of why he's still here then.

As long as Grigs isn't scratched long I have no problem with him being scratched tonight...

Rolston had no time to implement anything except whiteboard work. In that case I would stick with the same lineup as last game specifically for that reason.

Now...if like lindy he shows an infatuation with Hecht getting massive amounts of icetime....at Grigs expense...

Then I'll have a problem with it, and prefer he be sent down.

Guys, Rolston has likely seen very little of Grigs. Hasn't even had a true practice with him yet. Road game where the opponent can pick the matchup. At least give it a couple days. I bet he'll be in for the Isles at home.

They can't score! If Orr is out, Scott is useless again.

someone had to

I do really wish they'd stop the charade that this is a playoff team and just use this season to get the younger guys playing time.

Relax. Rolston needs to know what he has to deal with the current team.. The guy has a 30 minute practice under him. He took some time out during practice with Grigs with an aside.

You people are expecting night and day with a 30 minute practice and less than 24 hours when the night was 15 years long.

Grigs probably should be scratched. New coach needs to come in, watch tape on Grigs, sit him down and have a talk about what he needs to do out there on the ice. We've all seen a lot more of these players than Rolston has. He has a lot to sort out on his end before he starts changing what a 15 year head coach did.

Last time Grigorenko saw action was a week ago against Boston, it's just unacceptable right now to keep a young player up and then have him sit for this long. Either send him down or play him, it's that damn simple.
