With Ruff available..that seat under Tort's ass has to at least jump up 100 ****ing degrees.
What's the normal temperature right immediately before firing?

Yep. Lots of Buffalo fans not that depressed that Ruff is gone.

I'm a huge Ruff guy, and I'm not debating Torts v. _____ anymore on this board, but I don't think the seat is any hotter under Tortorella this week vs. last week.

Not canned but I wouldn't be surprised if rumors start popping up and beat writers start talking more and more about Sather.

I keep forgetting that good coaches have to have absolute crap for players.

Brings me back to so many Renney debates.

It should be IMO. This is definitely a make/break year for Tortorella. Hes got the pieces. His stubborness will eventually be his undoing at some point. Only a matter of time.

Well to be fair, they should be much better than they have played recent seasons.

Perhaps Rolston will make them more defensive minded, I have no idea, but its a thought.

There is a serious hypocrisy in all that. Ruff apparently "rode" these great teams to prominence.

According to this board, our team is great, Torts is just an idiot who doesn't know how to coach. Shouldn't this supposed "great" team carry him then?

Period.
Any GM in the league will tell you that.
I can agree Nash has played well. Very well.
But he has been frustratingly ineffective.
His shooting % is at a very meager 5.3% this year
Previous years it has been:

2002/2003 - 11.0%
2003/2004 - 15.2%
2005/2006 - 18.2%
2006/2007 - 11.8%
2007/2008 - 11.6%
2008/2009 - 15.2%
2009/2010 - 13.0%
2010/2011 - 10.5%
2011/2012 - 9.8%
Career Avg - 12,73%
This is why I'm not concerned about him, his shooting % almost has to go up at some point.

Now I see who he's aspiring to be ...

Profanity free!

On a related note.. if anyone can find a video of a goal that Daigle scored while on the Rangers where he caught the puck behind his back, threw it down and scored. It was dope.

Hell, if we are all so itchy to fire Torts if he hypothetically loses these next two games, why wait? Fire him now.

Don't hypothetically tempt them. They'll hypothetically do it.

I totally remember that goal. Was pretty sick. Especially since I think he caught it around the blue line and stayed on side somehow.

The only way Tortorella gets fired this season is if the team BOMBS the rest of the way. I am talking losing the next 28 out of 33.

Won't happen.

Hypothetical =/= real.

He could hypothetically have the Rangers go on an 8-2 run; he cold hypothetically have the Ranger go on a 2-8 run.

If that latter happens, I'd be open to taking some bets against those who say he won't be sweating bullets.
