Ahh ok, my mistake. Well the rest still stands, and we appear to be in agreement on all of it.

On Corsi, you have to look at qualcomp. A true shutdown pair (what they tried to do with Vlasic/Stuart) will be near an even Corsi. They aren't and I fault Vlasic based on the eyeball test. Outlets die on his stick whereas Stuart has been above average for stopping the opposition AND turning it around. Vlasic gets the stop but not the puck. It is OK for a shutdown not to be showing positive Corsi, but he should be near even.
Not going to argue with your 'eyeball test' regarding Vlasic but last I checked, -1.2 is very close to even so not sure what it is you're trying to get at here.

Vlasic also sees the toughest QoC among d-men, with Stuart right behind, as well as lead the d-men in defensive zone starts. He continues to be very, very good at what the Sharks pay him to do - be a shutdown d-man.

Sorry, forgot to mention that it was ES only (thanks WTFetus). I also figured you knew that the Vlasic/Stuart pairing was being matched up against the other teams best but as Easy said, that's something you have to take into consideration.

Regarding Clowe, the past 4 or 5 games he's been doing a whole lot more right then he was through the first part of the season. I'm not saying he's been a good player, but he's finally to do the things that make him effective and hopefully that'll start to show up on the scoreboard.

As many have said I think this is the main issue. TMac moves players from line A who are doing good to try and spark the players on line B who are not playing well. Then the end result is that both lines A and B are not doing well.

I don't pay much attachments to lineups on other teams, but it seems that most teams have much more static lineups than the Sharks despite how well the team/lines are doing.

Detroit and Pitt shift around even more than the Sharks. Many times they put out a stud line if they get the other team stuck on an icing call or to finish a period. It isn't the same as TMac who has done it to match up defensively as well as to jump start certain players. Detroit will shift personnel to do it defensively.

Kennedy reminds me of Korky. Not nearly as good, but he's a small, fast, quick lefty.
