There has to be enough quantity in that list to make a fair trade.
No.

Isles aren't trading a 5th overall 20 yr old power winger tearing up the AHL cause hes mad he didnt make the team in a shortened season. They'll trade him for talent, but not this. Isles can resign Nabby for netminding and have Poulin and Nillson. Why would they move their best power winger prospect for your reject goalie prospect? If it was Lehner I'd atleast be somewhat willing to discuss.

Read the whole thread. Bishop is most definitely not a 'reject goalie prospect' . And if you think Nino by himself would get you anywhere close to Lehner (especially considering the history of goalies in Ottawa), you're dreaming.

Yup. It would be Nino++ for Lehner.

I'm glad that Bishop is getting settled in Ottawa. I also see that fellow Islanders fans are getting cantankerous and ornery, and Sens fans are more than willing to match.

Why not say that it makes little sense for each team, and leave it at that?

It's not like it's that hard to get a decent goaltender. It certainly won't cost Nino. It doesn't happen because the Islanders just lack the will to get it done because of the pathetic DiPietro situation.

Islanders have in-house options. If there's any reason to give up value, it's to get J. Bernier so he can play 55 games next year.

Cheers,

Dan-o

i thought this was a good read about why the oilers wouldn't want to pay a hefty price for bishop. his line of thinking could certainly apply to why the isles' thoughts as well...
