Jordan Leopold

Leopold sat out of today's morning skate with a mysterious upper body injury that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Some in the Buffalo media are speculating a move might be coming.

Thoughts on what he might be able to retrieve, and who might be interested?

They would say healthy scratch and no injury usually for moves.

Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Detroit are possible destinations, IMO.

Pittsburgh makes NO SENSE for Leopold. He wouldn't make any of the top three D pairings. If we add a D man (Big IF), it will not be another puck mover.

Has he been that bad this year? If the Pens move Nisky, I'd take him for some insurance on the blue line.

Being in NY, I have watched alot of Buffalo games. He has been terrible. There would be better fits out there for Pittsburgh IF (BIG if) Niskanen is moved (I don't think he will be though).

Nobody, I repeat nobody, is willing to absorb the cost of maple syrup that Penner will expose you to.

Darcy's job is on the line now, so expect him to be making some moves. I don't believe this team is good enough to turn it around without changing the personnel. Maybe waiving McCormick and moving Leopold would be a way to clear up cap space, so the could offer sheet O'Reilly.

According to Rolston it's an upper body injury. Nothing to see here.

i expect a deal in a wekk or two. How big...who knows. It could be Leopold moved to a Defense needy team like Edmonton, LA, Detroit, etc. for a pick...or it could be a much bigger deal involving say

Stafford, Adam, Leopold for some top 9 player +pick.

Is a Myers for ROR deal any possibility?

Honestly the last thing Buffalo needs is to overpay another guy right now. I'd think an offer sheet does that.

Don't think so. Regier isn't the type to sell low on his guys, especially not when Myers is still this young and loaded with potential. And I doubt COL would want to take on his contract anyway.

I think almost anyone on the team or in the system outside of him, Vanek, Pominville, Ehrhoff, and Miller should be a potential piece in a deal for ROR though.
