I don't see these two teams making any trades with each other

Oh sure, when I reported that Doug Wilson and Darryl Sutter were chatting at a game last year, you guys made fun of me but when some guy tweets that Chiarelli and Holmgren were chatting it's a RUMOR! Oooooooh!

I don't see these two teams hooking up for a deal at all.

briere is the only player that makes sense but he has NTC. bruins get a skilled winger philly gets cap relief.

Outside of a 1st for trading Briere, what the hell would the Flyers even get back?

Obviously there are some other players I'd love to get my hands on as a Bruins fan, but I doubt the Flyers would move Simmonds, Voracek, Giroux, Timmonen

As a winger Briere really isn't that much of an upgrade for Boston. Not to even start with his atrocious cap hit.

Knuble or fedetenko. Clode is probably salivating overnight the thought over being able to roll a 4th line of pandolfo Campbell and Kelly lol

Briere not better than Chris Bourque?

Briere in the playoffs is undeniably worth a first rounder. Regular season Briere, maybe not...

Considering it looks like Boston will do a lot this season and possibly go deep into the playoffs, I could see them pay a 1st for Briere. Late first for a playoff performer.

Any team with a chance at the cup would trade a 1st for Briere.

Gaustad didn't have 2 more years at 6.5M cap hit

I can't even remember the last time the Flyers and Bruins made a trade with each other. Anybody out there know?

He also didn't have a PPG avg in the playoffs.

I disagree, for my reasoning see the multiple people mentioning Briere in the playoffs.

Could be a few in between (Don't have all my trade files handy), but I can see that Boston and Philadelphia did indeed make a trade in Oct 2008, Philly got Andrew Alberts in return for Ned Lukacevic and a 4th rounder (Who turned out to be Lane MacDermid).
