Leafs need Philly to lose in regulation, so of course Pittsburgh coughs up a 2-0 lead..

Luke pinch and goes for the big hit, delivers it then amazingly quickly get back in to a defensive situation, break up play and with one pass starts the counter attack. Nice to see.

Vokoun single handedly lost that game for the Pens. Brutal. Wonder why they would start their back up against a rival opponent like the Flyers?

Shots are 16-3 St Louis over Colorado almost half way through the game. 0-0. Not able to watch it but doesn't look like I'm missing much...

Just saw the highlights. Brutal is an understatement lol.

This was one of those games where cardboard cut-out would've definitely let in fewer. I still don't know what he was thinking on that 1st Flyers goal.

I saw that. You have to feel for sens though, they have more injuries than us and now one of the best goalies in the league gets injured.

I hope he's not hurt too badly, it didn't look too good.

I don't mind if his day-to-day doesn't get fixed before Saturday. We certainly won't miss him on Saturday.

Eh, I hope it's Bishop playing and not Lehner. Lehner in his pre-season and regular season games against us has played quite well and seems to give us kind of a hard time.

Anyway, Montreal lost in OT tonight

Also, Jiri "God" Tlusty had 2 goals again tonight. Before everyone shakes their balls over this, wait until Leivo and Percy pan out please. Imo, no doubt in my mind those two will make us all forget Tlusty in no time.

That's a good point.

And you wouldn't want to rush him back if he's already doing a lot of the work for that team. Wonder if Lehner gets a shot then if its significant.

Painful loss for Dallas (Thankfully, they still hold on to 8th spot).

Down 1 goal, they got charged a penalty 18:00 of 3rd. All Canucks did was pass entire 2 minutes and Dallas (I think) never touched the puck.

Last 2 minutes is when you want to desperately tie it up, and they never had the puck.

COUld care less about Tlusty. HE ws rushed here and after he started posting pictures it was time to go. An empty chair could get 20goals a season playing on CAR's top line right now.

We want OTT and MTL to be fighting each other for 9th spot in the east. Kinda cheer kinda jinx. As long as neither ends up with a top 3 pick again.

YA that was painful to watch.

Almost as bad as the EDM MIN game.

EDM needs to break up that top line. Talk about under performing.

You think either have first line/pairing potential?

Do explain.

With the first pick in the 2013 NHL draft, the Edmonton Oilers select......

Happens or doesn't happen?

They probably get Seth Jones with that pick.

Scary thought.

Tlusty is not a first line player, he's there by default because Carolina is spreading out their depth. Anyone who watches him can see he's a second-line talent. Good board player and responsible defensively, but his offense is not first line calibre. Percy's IQ is amazing and he reminds me a lot of Suter, while Leivo has great offensive instincts and is much more physical than Tlusty will ever be.

Anyway you can debate this all you want, but you have a one-sided opinion and in general civil discussion is difficult with you so I'm going to drop this topic.

Yea, I don't lose sleep over Tlusty. Steen is a different story.

Yup, Steen is a solid player who's doing great work for St.Louis. One of the best 2-way players in the league.

Steen should be our #1 right now.

Trader Cliff ****ed Burke bad with that deal days before BRian took over.

There is no Seguin in Boston if that trade does not happen.

Im not trying to be uncivil I am just wondering if you think Percy or Leivo have 1st line/pairing potential...because you seem to think that they are better players than a 1st line player in the NHL.

You can debate whether he is a complimentary 1st liner, 2nd liner, what have you...he is producing quite nicely right now. I understand that point of view since I feel JVR isn't an Eric Staal talent either...but he is making the best of his chances just like Tlusty.

And like you said, he brings other things aside from offence like smart two way play and penalty killing ability.
