Someone should do one of these threads with big, mean D men. I would but I just don't know who most of them are out there, and whos available.

Seriously we've drafted 900 defensemen; if we need to trade for one then Shero just needs to quit.

Nah, I'd see nothing wrong with trading for a D.

Yeah same, he also took the time to recover from his concussion issues. Most guys seem to rush back. I am still pretty weirded out at how fast RJ Umberger came back from his this season. He missed like what, 5 games?

They're skating a thin line from being a warrior and being someone that when you call their name they answer "I am Potato." Head injuries are serious, I wonder if some players take it seriously enough still. Gagne should have taken way more time off than he did, Umberger should, Savard should never have rushed back, etc etc.

Speaking of Defense, I want Shero to draft Harrison Ruopp's brother, he's apparently the same kind of player he is. Can't want to see that kid in the AHL, he's that big mean d-man everyone keeps asking for, to help out Orpik.

Sorry guys but I can't post it using my tablet... Check out Russo's Twitter. He mentions chatting with Don Waddell who is scouting Minny & Edmonton tonight and currently on a super long scouting trip. So far, based on tonight game, interesting how it involves 2 teams we won't play this year who have surplus of forwards and looking for help on D.
Cullen just scored Haven't seen much of him but I dunno why you guys are so down on him I think he could help our 3rd line he has to better then TK.

We need MORE Dmen. Shero will not rest until he can play 12 dmen and 6 forwards. That way people would stop criticizing his inability to acquire a winger.

If he is brought in strictly to play in TK's spot, fine. But you know Disco would have him playing in the top 6 within a week.

Bring in Ruopp's bro, play Orpeck on the wing.

He's looked pretty good tonight. Sweet feed to Seto for that last goal too.

I cannot imagine Cullen being on this team unless Shero unloads one of our bottom6 forwards like TK.
I wouldn't mind swapping a D & TK for Seto & Cullen. Cullen would just replace Kennedy on the 3rd line.

Not a proponent for adding Cullen, unless it's for TK. But I think Seto would cure what ails Malkin's line. Issue being, which D prospect Fletch would want. Some of the Wild posters like Maata and that's fine with me. It's just when they mention Despres or Morrow, I scoff. PMB is interesting because he has skill, but his injury issues scare me. Anyone we look at short of Perry will have warts.

Radim Vrbata would be a good fit for crosbys wing.

Not too expensive in terms of cap hit and allows us to move kunitz back down to Malkins Line

Clutterbuck just took a dirty knee from Taylor Hall. Not able to put pressure on his leg. Scratch him off.

Clutterbuck just got hurt it looks bad. No way their gonna trade cullen now if clutterbuck is out for a while. Im like in shock after watching cullen tonight I expected to watch some random 3rd line player but it was like watching crosby take over the game.

That was brutal. Hall is a dirty POS. Wonder if Cooke is gonna call and thank him for taking the heat off from him for a bit. Yeah I think Buttercup's season may be dunzo. Too bad. There goes another option.

Not for nothin Cullen was pretty solid against us in the playoffs when he went to Ottawa the year after our cup( was on Carolina prior year when we swept em) . 3 g 5 a...was all over the place. Like it has been said, if he is traded for to solely replace Kennedy then that's fine. I'd still want an elite winger of course.

I think Stafford would be ideal, former teammate (maybe linemate) of Crosby's at Shattuck-St. Mary's

Despres
Niskanen
Kennedy
Bennet

=/=

Matt Cullen
Devin Setoguchi

that would be a fireable offense on Shero's part.

Matt Cullen has barely outproduced Cooke the last couple years. He MIGHT be worth 5th. Setoguchi is basically a reclamation project at this point.

Wow, not liking what's being put up in here. Maybe Stafford.

We can reach a little higher.

Hall didn't even show any remorse, *********.
