Myers isn't anywhere close to that level. I think he's still a young guy developing and a quality player but those players are always their teams best defensive players and they bring good offense. All those guys are always terrific even if they aren't at their best.
Then you keep Hall, we'll keep Myers. Myers isn't gonna be traded for spare parts...if Edmonton wants Myers, they'll have to put one of Hall/Eberle/Yakupov/RNH on the table, if not we'll gladly keep Myers.

Myers has been playing like a spare part all season, just so you know. He's not worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Hall.
People undervalue players based off small chunks of their careers.. Its more of the fact that this trade is unnecessary for both teams more then it is bad for either side.
Then why make the comparison. Don't you understand how that invalidates your comment if they are on a different level. And BTW applying the blanket statement that all are "#1 defenseman" is pretty much saying they are all on the same level to some degree, you certainly never alluded to any degrees of variance within that qualifier.

His comment is legit since it has been asserted that No. 1 d-men aren't inconsistent. The mentioned players prove this claim to be wrong. Period.
Which player is on which level of play at which point in time is another discussion.

And just so you know, the Oilers have been almost as bad as Buffalo this season, so it looks like the amazing, untouchable, Taylor "Wayne" Hall hasn't been doing much to right the ship. Yes Myers has been bad but lets not pretend Hall is the second coming. Your statements are laughable.
For Myers? More than Edmonton would want to part with.
You'd have a better chance at prying any other D-man out of Buffalo. Barring a turn around I would think Buffalo tries to move at least Regehr and Leopold at the deadline.

They really aren't laughable at all. Hall has been outplaying Myers by leaps and bounds this year. That's all you need to know.
It's not worth selling low on assets who have plenty of a chance to rebound, IMO. I'd rather just hold onto Myers in the hope that he'll rebound than sell him for scraps. There's still upside potential.
Edmonton could have had McCormick for free if the team had wanted him.
Schultz is good but at his best Myers is far better. He's a true no1 dman who has consistency issues.
Sabres don't have that no1, Ehrhoff is a 2-3 I'd say so their best bet is to see if a new coach will help out Myers as Ruff clearly wasn't.
A player that consistently finds himself a healthy scratch is not a guy that the oilers should target, especially at 5.5million . Sorry Sabres your stuck with him

Lol @ "consistently a healthy scratch". Unless if by consistent you meant 3 times ever, then sure I guess.

Lol please name me another 5.5 million dollar defenceman that has been a healthy scratch in the last two years?
You don't have to stick up for him, I know how soft he is and I know how bad he is
No problem, you can have your pick of our two best: Calvin Pickard or Sami Aittokallio. I'd offer Aittokallio first, but honestly, I'd be happy to give up either...
