Don't see Montreal beating out Boston for the division.

Why do people think the standings are going to end up what they are right now, god in a month the standings and predictions will be pretty different...

Because out of the 519 million different ways the standings could end (in either conference), the most logical choice would be the way they are now.

West

Chicago
Vancouver
Anaheim
St Louis
Nashville
San Jose
LA
Minnesota

East

Boston
Pittsburgh
Carolina
New Jersey
NYR
Montreal
Philly
Winnipeg or Tampa

Until Leafs show they won't have enough epic collapse, can't pencil them in imo.

I just hope detroit finally misses. Don't see how everyone is picking them already to make the playoffs considering how they are doing.

First off all your guy's standings are wrong because in none of them is there any chance the Canucks and Blackhawks will meet in the 2nd round

Ducks
Hawks
Canucks
St.Louis
Detroit
Nashville
Phoenix
Los Angeles

Boston
New Jersey
Tampa Bay(don't expect them to have third in points but ya know the whole division thing)
Pittsburgh
Philadelphia
Ottawa
NY Rangers
Montreal

This is half predictions half wishful thinking.

It's really funny to see these predictions when if you went back to the beginning of the season no one even had the ducks in their top 14.

All I know is somebody needs to give Barry Trotz as many awards as possible. Nobel Peace Prizes, the Oscar for best picture, whatever you can find.

Too bad. I would love a Ducks vs. Kings series. Win or lose, I think that would be great for hockey in Southern California, and it would make the rivalry a little more real.

Regarding Detroit...it's one of those "won't believe it until I see it" things regarding them potentially missing the playoffs.

lol I actually didn't even realize where I ended up positioning the two. That would be a good meeting. Finally have a freeway series in the playoffs.

Ain't gonna happen. B's are too deep for that. Takes a team like the Caps last year to do it. Giving everything you got. IMO in a seven game series barring injuries, there's only two teams that will/could beat them, the Canes cause they have the B's number and the dreaded Habs. If we play the Habs, there's no way it goes less than six games. Our playoff series the past few years have been insane.

Agreed, though 2010 would have ended very differently had the diver chara not taken out patches.

Have to love winning a cup based purely on injuring players though, right? Seems about right for bawwwwwwwstahn

Yeah, that Pacioretty injury really locked the Cup up for Boston.
