It would be tough to see Miller in a Leafs uniform. Which reminds me, I really hope Ruff doesn't end up with a team I hate.

Miller for Gardiner straight up would even do it for me.

Absolutely no reason for Toronto to do this. Our goaltending issues seemed to be a problem resulting from Wilson's system.

Whats wrong with the Leafs goaltending, that they need to tie up how much ever cap hit Miller takes up plus give away young assets?

Miller would put the Leafs in a great position this year and when they decide to dip into the FA market.

If the Leafs define their direction with a move for a goalie....I don't see it as farfetched for key pieces to fall into place.

I guess if Nonis loses all hope in Reimer developing into that number one goalie, I could see him pulling a trade like this.

Not for Miller though. Miller doesn't like the Leafs, and I'd rather not deal futures within the division again. Pretty sure Buffalo doesn't want to deal Miller within the division either.

Though I don't like a trade like this anyways. I'd rather just be patient with our prospects and going young players. I seriously doubt we'll win a Cup in the next two years, so lets have some patience.

What great position? BOTH our goalies are playing great. LOL

No deal. i like miller but i love gards too much. plus the leafs never come out on top whenever we make a trade with a division rival.

Does Miller come with a bottle of whine?

Leafs don't need a goalie, never mind one who gets rattled and starts pointing fingers when things don't go his way.. With the exception of a few hot streaks, Miller is pretty average. Being on the wrong side of 30 really gives the Leafs no incentive to make this deal.

Great idea, let's throw a lot of valuable assets at a "problem" we might not have anymore.

Take it from canuck fans. Nonis will NOT make a trade unless it literally falls into his lap like the Luongo trade.

Miller quite legitimately hates the Leafs. I'm quite certain he would refuse to play for us.

Just no.

Why do so many Leaf fans want to trade away Gardiner anyway? Makes me think his concussion was worse than they let on.

Please don't put Miller on the Leafs. It makes them a middle of the pack playoff team and possibly in the playoffs, dare I say it....a contender

No.. it's just that many Leaf fans have an insatiable need to continue the practice of throwing away their team's best young assets in order to gain instant gratification rather than being patient long enough to see these assets develop into whatever they're projected to become at some point down the road.

As for the OP's proposal.. no thanks.. not interested in trading away futures for someone who isn't needed.

Lol....nobody picked the Leafs to make the playoffs, while Buff was a shoein. Our goalies are currently outplaying Miller as well as the rest of the team. No big changes in net are needed at the moment.

How about we keep developing our young players and watch them grow for once?

Beyond the fact that Toronto & Buffalo generally don't trade with each other... I just don't see the reason for the Leafs to do this...

They're a young team. They have 2 goalies, who are 24 and 26 respectively. They have the second cheapest goaltending tandem in the league, they're both signed for next year, and most important, they've got a .930 sv%. It puts them 6th and 7th in the league amongst starters/tandems, respectively.

If the Leafs are going to dip into the FA pool, they're going to need the money to do it.

no............absolutely no value for the Leafs whatsoever in fact a trade with the Leafs giving that much away for a goaltender of Miller's ilk would be counter-productive and actually set the team back

I wouldn't pay that for Luongo and he's a much better goaltender then Miller

If you took out the Gardiner/1st from the trade I think we could work something out. I'm not crazy about Miller but he would be an upgrade. Just wish he wasn't so scrawny looking.
