Always like reading this magazine, here's my guess at Ottawa's:

1) Lehner
2) Zibanejad
3) Ceci
4) Weirioch
5) Prince
6) Puempel
7) Hoffman
8) Stone
9) Gryba
10) Borowiecki

Big drop off after number two and another big one after number six. The Jets have a very shallow pool, lots of future role players but few top six forwards or top pairing defencemen.
You haven't seen Redmond play have you?

Redmond is outplaying Postma right now because Redmond has better decision making abilities and has a stronger partner (ie: anyone not Clitsome).
Postma still has higher upside due to having higher raw skills for Huddy to work with.
Tools vs ToolBox.
I say we merge them into one

Jason Kay @JKTHN

Boston's Dougie Hamilton graces the cover of our Future Watch 2013 special issue. He ranks No. 4 on our list of NHL-drafted prospects.

Blues

1. Vladimir Tarasenko
2. Jaden Schwartz
3. Dmitrij Jaskin
4. Ty Rattie
5. Jake Allen
6. Jani Hakanpaa
7. Jordan Schmaltz
8. Jori Lehtera
9. Joel Edmundson
10. Jordan Binnington/Nicklas Lundstrom

Holy J names Batman.

Tarasenko dominated the KHL last year, in the regular season and even more so in the playoffs ... which earned him a drop from 5 to 6, and now when you look at that list a year later it makes you laugh. Maybe he'll stay at 6

What ya don't like Silfverberg and Noesen?

DaCosta has really improved, and the injuries to Regin and Spezza are giving him a chance.

I wonder if Wickstrand did enough at the WJC to climb into the top 10. It will be interesting as it is the Sens management that provides the list.

1) Zibanejad (NHL)
2) Lehner (AHL)
3) Silfverberg (NHL)
4) Wiercioch (NHL)

7) Stone (AHL)
8) Boroweicki(AHL)
9) Peumple (OHL)
10) Prince (AHL)

HM - Da Costa (NHL), Gryba(NHL), Hoffman(AHL)

The KINGS will be 28th and only Tyler Toffoli will crack the top 75 prospects.

This was in the March 4 edition of The Hockey News:

Quote:
In 2011 the Kings, headlined by Schenn, ranked No. 2 in THN's annual Future Watch issue, but dropped to 22 in 2012 and sank to No. 28 in 2013. The cupboard beyond the NHL is sparse with Tyler Toffoli, ranked No. 65 across the league, currently standing as their highest-rated prospect.

Just got my digital copy through zinio. Print copy should arrive any day!

Dougie Hamilton on the cover.

Top 10 prospects:

1. Vladimir Tarasenko
2. Justin Schultz
3. Evgeni Kuznetsov
4. Dougie Hamilton
5. Nail Yakupov
6. Alex Galchenyuk
7. Mikael Granlund
8. Johnathan Huberdeau
9. Ryan Murray
10. Jacob Trouba

Just a reminder, we have to be careful with the posting of information, as it is copyrighted. So, please don't ask for so and so's top 10, or the top 50 prospects etc.. If you're interested, I'd recommend picking up a copy, or buying it digitally..it's only a few bucks.

Straight from the magazine on how the rankings work:

Quote:
It starts with The Hockey News consulting with each NHL team to determine an order of the top prospects in that organization. Once a master list of 30 top 10's is established, we ask the talent evaluators to rank the top 50 prospects from the 300 candidates with a five to ten year projected outlook. 15 scouts participated in this year's exercise and a spreadsheet does the number crunching. The voting system is weighted to give the top 10 prospects sequentially more balloting points than those prospects ranked 11-50.

Prepare for an army of Oiler fans to FLIP OUT in 3...2...1...

Seems pretty solid top 10 list to me though... really hope to see Kuznetsov in North America sometime.

I love, love, love Tarasenko. But this is pure bandwagoning, putting him first.

He's not better than Kuznetsov. No freaking way.

Kuzy was the #1 prospect by THN last year. What the heck changed that now he's #3? He's developing beautifully.

Silly.

Meh, seeing Schultz at 2 offsets any disappointment of Yakupov at 5.

I'm not sure I like Trouba over Scheifele for the Jets. Scheifele is tearing through the Ohl since getting set back. 10 goals 7 assists in 8 games.

Also I know Toronto fans are gonna hate Trouba over Rielly

Tarasenko is in the NHL and scoring at a high clip, that is what's changed.

Not that I was expecting him to be at the top of the list or anything, but I was a bit surprised to see Dumba all the way up at 47.

Apparently Sam Reinhart has been ranked #1 for the 2014 NHL Draft in the new issue.

If I don't have subscription with THN, where would I be able to buy a copy? And would anyone be so kind as to either post the top 10 of the wings or PM the list?

That's nothing compared to how far they dropped Tim Erixon. From #15 and #17 the two years prior to almost unranked (#61).

Then again, they moved Jenner up from #62 last year to #28 this year.
