Yep, considering the bruins beat the canadiens 3 times by 1 goal, I'd say pacioretty would have changed the outcome of that series. Or are you saying patches wouldn't have contributed 1 goal for 3 games?

Edit: Not to mention that game 3(the only non-1 goal game) was 1 goal+1 empty netter.

Boston sure owned the canadiens that year, what with 4(basically) 1 goal games.

Yep, that pacioretty injury had no bearing on the bruins cup run.

almost winning a series purely based on diving though? seems right for mongreAl (see, I can play the stereotype game too)

Most likely not, considering the guy scored his first goal of the year 4 days ago, and Thomas surely wouldn't allow a goal from the red line

Not in order, really.
Ducks and kings first round match up! LETS DO IT!
All of the west matchups would be awesome. Montreal toronto would be sick, rangers devils would be awesome,

Considering the amount you've seen Chara, Peverly and Marchand you probably are an authority on diving.

Though, I suppose that monster Higgins took down Chara in game 7, right?

Congrats, Bruins won a cup. Only took them 39 years and having the son of discipline on their team. Only need 4 times as many to be considered as dominant as the habs, plus I'm pretty sure NONE of ours came on the back of a series of questionable non-suspensions(Horton+water bottle+Tampa Bay fans=0 games suspension, Ryder+headshot=0 game suspension, Chara+Stanchion=0 games suspension) and suspensions(Slightly late hit=MOST PLAYOFF GAMES EVER!!!!) Congrats, Gregory, your dad wills you a cup.

As long as the ducks play one of LA, Detroit or San Jose I really don't care. I will be happy.

First, seeing how Pacioretty is wandering around injuring people, I guess you are an expert on that field too.

secondly, gotta love the bitterness. Seriously, the Bruins are a better team than the habs and will be for the next 10 years. The earlier you accept it, the better will you be able to live with it. The fact that you still cling on to the Campbell conspiracy shows that you still haven't gotten over it. Only a Montréal fan could believe that spraying someone with a water bottle is suspension worthy. Did you call 911?

Right, Tortorello wasn't suspended for his water bottle, was he? Oh wait.

As for the bitterness, this year the Bruins are clearly better than the habs. Last year, too. The year before? Both were pretty mediocre. Bruins just happened to be able to injure other teams with impunity.

A "conspiracy" of one is hardly a conspiracy. When the head of discipline is the father of a current player aspersions should be cast.

Me neither (from a habs fan)

I see them ending up between 5th and 7th. They're good enough to make the playoffs but not good enough to lead the conference or division.

This is hilarious. Everyone picking the Devils to make the playoffs when 90% had them missing at the beginning. There's still time for them to choke!

Agree with u on this. I am going to wait until like the 30th game before I can even be optimized about us making the playoffs.

As of now, we're pretty good but anything could be in the air in a month or two.

Isn't that the same for any team currently in the top 8?

Agreed though, in the sense that it's too early to really predict.

A few teams trounced my before season predictions (i'm looking at you Ducks...)

I guess i'll update now:

East:

1. Boston
2. Pittsburgh
3. Carolina
4. New Jersey
5. Montreal
6. NYR
7. Toronto
8. Tampa
--------------
9. Philadelphia
10. Ottawa

West:

1. Chicago
2. Vancouver
3. Anaheim
4. St Louis
5. San Jose
6. Nashville
7. LA
8. Detroit
--------
9. Minnesota
10. Phoenix

I have Ottawa falling out due to injuries (and I like the Sens). Don't see how the Rangers can stay lower than 6th... Carolina should win their division... Tough to call the 7,8,9,10 West spots. Phoenix is always well coached, if Quick gets hot LA could finish anywhere up to 4th, Minnesota may just be figuring it out... and Detroit is still Detroit.
