Ryan O'Reilly Headed to Offer Sheet or Trade (Part 4)
Bergevin: Hey Sherman heard O'Reilly is for trade
Sherman: Yup
Bergevin: So I was thinking since I don't want to give up anything of value in order to get O'Reilly I'd offer Diaz+Leblanc+2nd maybe
Sherman: *click*
Bergevin: Hello? Sherman you there?
And that's if Sherman just received news on him getting a raise.
I think the Leafs are probably more prepared to make a trade around Gardiner and O'Reilly now that Franson is finally playing up to his potential. But that would also leave the Leafs with too many forwards, and so a subsequent trade would need to happen to clear up the log jam.
So you are saying we shouldn't trade with Tampa either?
If they want to give us Purcell for Jones and then flip Jones for another first from the Red Wings I'm all for it. Just one step closer to bringing Stammer to Colorado. First Downie and then Purcell, its all coming together

The offer isnt really good but I think Diaz has some value base on his play this year.
3rd in pts in the NHL for defenseman
+5
His icetime is over 20 minutes per game playing in all situation
To rich for my blood.
As far the 1st rounder goes, I don't think any team will give it up for cheap....
Tirnordi could be a piece, but I'm not a fan of trading this guy.
Leblanc brings nothing to this trade.
How about Diaz+Cole with a 2nd For ROR+mid prospect or O'Byrne
I think Tinordi and Leblanc is a fair deal, You don't need to throw in a 1st. I am just looking for players who are already NHL proven and have high potential.

No way they accept that deal and anyway ROR wants a contract Bergevin didnt want to give to Subban.

I wouldnt be ready to trade Tinordi.
He'll be a perfect partner for Subban.
Stay at home defenseman who can fight. He could defend Subban when players go after him after a clean hit.

You need throw a first and +.
I have the chance to see Leblanc play, great kid, have nice tools but my grand mother is more physical than him and she has been dead 10 years ago.
Leblanc = 4th line player and Habs management know it.
Tinordi might be good but he is a prospect...read suspect...
The Avs are just waiting for the media to start reporting that they're just gunna wait until the summer, then they'll strike a deal, cause they're media-ninjas.

As thin as we already are on wing both on the team and in the prospect pool, I'd really hate to trade Armia. The way this team is heading, we could very well get our shutdown C in the draft in Barkov or Monahan without losing any assets. I'd love to get ROR, but Armia is not a guy I want to give up to get him, and I think we have the assets to get it done without including him.
Is Buffalo really that thin at wing in the future? Vanek, Pominville, Stafford, Foligno, Ott, with Armia and Girgensons on the way.
Buffalo has to give to get. If I'm Sherman, my asking price center piece is Grigorenko or Armia. Richards got Philly Schenn, Simmonds, and a 2nd. Grigorenko, a prospect defenseman, and a pick gets it done. Armia, Sekera, and a pick gets it done too. I'd rather do the Grigorenko deal, FWIW.
What is Colorado actually looking for? Not Colorado fans, but the team, are there any rumors about what the team itself wants? I hope they aren't expecting a top line player for him, if he was signed he might get that, but he's not, so he won't.

We have 5 total goals from wingers not named Vanek or Pominville. Armia is our only winger with high offensive upside in the system. Yes, we are extremely thin on wingers.

Hmmm. So Foligno and Ott aren't top 9 wingers? Girgensons isn't either?
What you meant to say is that Buffalo is short on wingers with high offensive upside. There's a difference.
