you know what Torts/Sather were smart enough to move Rupp for a useful part in Powe so I have faith they will see the writing on the wall with Boyle and move him out while he still has value
Montreal would likely want him. Eller does make some sense as a piece coming back. Thing is the Rangers can't really go with Miller since he's so young at 3rd line C. They have to find a deal with a C coming back in a Boyle deal or before they move him
Yeah...kinda over Boyle too. Tired of hearing Sam say...here comes Callahan on a breakaway...two on one...feed to Boyle...Wide/Over his stick/fanned/missed the pass...
Guy handles the puck like he's using an 200lbs stick.
SJ was scouting the Rangers........maybe Murray and Handzus for Boyle, Eminger?
Sharks get a player with another yr left on his deal and Rangers get 2 UFA rentals. Move a contract out with Eminger who can be a spare in SJ
Murray is alright... Handzus is a good player but a bit overpriced
maybe something like Murray, Wingles and Sebastian Stalberg (younger brother of Victor Stralberg of the Blackhawks) to NYR for Boyle, Eminger, Bourque 3rd (FLA)
Last two games, Boyle has played like ass. He's been subpar for the season on the whole.
A certain majority would have you believe that these 13 games are the "true" Boyle, and the previous 164 games were an extended fluke.
Still, even playing like this, he is the best 3rd line center option on the team.
first of all, many of those 164 games of glory were as bad as these 13. Only in your fantasy world is he anything more than an average 4th liner. And unless you are ranking him ahead of Richards because you cannot really be ranking him ahead of Halpern, he is our 4th best option and will be our 5th when Miller is settled in.
Step
Richie
Halp
Boyle
Miller
At least you admitted he is playing poorly. That is the first step on the road to reality.

No, of course not! How could anyone not have Halpern ahead of Boyle long-term? He is super-fast and stuff.
Why would San Jose give up a guy on their starting 6 for a guy who watches from the press box?
Handzus is a bottom 6 and Sharks fans don't seem to care for him much........Murray has been in the pressbox alot. It gives the Sharks a 3rd line C for this yr and next
this game is played in a small sample size. you have enormous momentum shifts in a single period. obviously the same guy isn't going to be sharp every shift... you play the guys that are playing sharp

It's Callahans fault. He should have learned by now that Boyle only uses his stick to keep himself from falling down. I'm not even sure if he has a blade on it.
I was fine with Boyle through last year, but I think I'm done with him as anymore than a 4C... and at this point I think I'd even prefer Halpern in that role...
I have not been impressed with Boyle in the slightest. So what that he wins faceoffs?
It's like picking someone to play basketball on your team because he's good at 3 pointers..just that he's an asthmatic who can't run up and down the court, keeps falling on his ass when he gets slightly grazed by another player, and, oh, he's 4'11". 99% of those 3 pointers just end up being blocked anyway.
Torts kept putting Boyle out there last night. The Rangers need to keep playing Boyle because there is a trade in the works. Its hard to justify putting him out there unless there's a deal somewhere being discussed. The team had it best stretch of hockey with Boyle as a healthy scratch and Callahan on the 3rd line with Miller and Kreider. Then Torts decides to put Boyle back in the line-up. Moved Callahan put with Richards. Moved Gaborik to the left side with Richards and Callahan. Then Nash went out of the line-up.
