I remember before the lockout was over the only forwards that look to have any positive effect was Burmistrov on his own and a line of Telegin-O'Dell-Klingberg

Lol tweet about a recent Yasin Cisse goal:

Yasin Cissé, tel Nik Antropov, prend un rebond devant Bélanger et marque du revers, c'est 3 à 2

Translated for non-bilinguals/francophones
Yasin Cisse, like Nik Antropov, takes a rebound in front Belanger and scores, it is now 3-2

It is probably because I think the Armada have arguably the nicest jersey in all of hockey that I have developed an affinity for Yassin Cisse. None the less, I hope he does well and makes it to The Rock.

Kasdorf's been impressive with RPI. 16 GP, 1.52 GAA and .942 save %. 2 shutouts as well. I think it'd be cool if he keeps improving and our future goalie is a local boy.

I don't mind the idea of having allot of late round goalie prospects in our system. We are playing the odds adding quantity and mining for that one gem.

Talking with Reged, looks like he's actually top 5 in all goalie stats across the NCAA.....

sure looking good for a "hometown" pick in the 7th.

Agreed... especially if they all go NCAA and we get that extra year of protection...wouldn't mind if we selected at least one goaly every year between fifth and 7th.

Yeah, it's honestly the smartest route to go with goaltending.

It would be nice to "make it" next year but I highly doubt it is a break it year for someone that is one year out of jr.

If you are ever interested RPI has the games streamed or at the least links to the stream on their website. (Look for the upcoming events listings at the above link.)
I didn't realize that until last weekend when his uncle slipped off to call in the game updates. Had I known we'd all be watching.
If he makes it into the NHL he better get a large contract or he is going to go broke buying tickets for his rather large family.

I am very curious about Kosmo vs Richard.

They play for the same team.

They were drafted one after the other.

Richard is a wonderful playmaker, but he is tiny and he plays a finesse game.

Kosmachuk is a different animal though. Gritty player who scores from dirty areas and could theoretically slot in on any line.

It will be interesting to see how they develop.

Scheifele almost has equal goals to assists...
He's obviously a playmaker bust

RR had an interview with Scott Kosmachuk today on the Rona Roundtable.

Scott mentioned he has played mostly LW ( off wing ) this year and has played both. He likes to score , go to gritty areas , and pay the price. I see him as pest like with a scoring mentality.

Said he learned from the prospect camp , that he needs to be more mature physically and play all three zones.

Yup, 10 games left. It's going to be very close, but I think he'll do it. I bet he finishes with around:

48GP: 40G, 43A 83PTS, 1.74PPG

Not saying as good, but in style are you envisioning a Marchand type?

I would love a Brad Marchand type player on the team, only not as dirty.

Funny that comp was exactly what I was going to ask about. I hope Scott has Marchand's drive and skill set but the dirty stuff I can live without. Kosmo is a bit bigger (6' vs 5'9") and can definitely throw them if he has to as well. Kosmo and Marchand's goal scoring rate was pretty similar in juniors and they were both 3rd round draft choices.

Marchand is exibit “A” of why you can’t get too fixated on "size alone". Boston likes there big tough teams but Marchand is an indispensible piece of their makeup and he is 5’9”. He has really rounded into a very good NHL player if you can get past his vibe......we can only dream Kosmo follows a similar path
