Agreed. I wouldn't mind Avs or Habs taking a shot on him.

He's a good fit on the Avs right now, although they did just claim Palushaj. Someone will claim him just because of the upside nobody has ever seen due to his constant injuries.

Stunned. Someone is going to a great guy for the PK that could emerge as a quality third liner. Love this guys skating ability.

So my team is in last place, has a bunch of injuries to our weakest forward corp in the NHL, and a quality forward is waived from a team he would love to prove wrong that's in our division.
JK here's your first move!

If Mursak goes unclaimed, I give up on the league.

Malkin's LW?

1. He wont make it to Pittsburgh.

2. He's not good enough to be Malkin's LW.

Still, the fact that we do so much to keep **** like Cleary on our roster amazes me.

He's a good sparkplug bottom six player. He'll never be a top six guy.

Still pisses me off that we're letting him go.

In the last five years, this has been said about Thomas Greiss, Lukas Kaspar, and Brian Lee (among others). All made it through unclaimed.

He might get claimed on potential (Like Mattias Ritola), but I wouldn't be surprised if he slips through. Has had a couple of major injuries that may have stunted his development. He probably needs some time in the AHL to put it all back together.

First game back after shoulder injury that he suffered on first game of the season.

Didn't Datsyuk look good?

Basically. A season in the AHL for somebody could do him a world of good, and give it another go.

Washington should grab him. The Caps desperately need help at the wing right now, and they're first priority on waivers. Grab him, McPhee!

Jan Muršak was by far best player in EBEL league during lockout. 19+29, +24, 9 PIM / 30 games. Then came injury during first NHL game on second shift. He deserves his chance in NHL.

Remember Thomas Vanek said that playing in EBEL (Austrian league) is the reason for his scoring burst, because at home he rediscovered how much fun is to play hockey for living.

Mursak isn't even close to as talented as Vanek. He will be maybe a 3rd line winger at best. He's too soft, and not durable at all. He has played 44 games in the NHL and has 4 points.

Funny that Mursak is the one who gets waived while Emmerton is still on the roster and doing well. For some reason Wings' fans had some weird hype around Jan Mursak because of his skating ability but seems like another Chris Conner. I never saw what they saw in Mursak personally.
