I was visiting there this summer and I was amazed at how many coffee shops they have. You can walk one block in any directions and hit at least three shops.

Cool city btw.

Starbucks coffee is kinda ******. They just burn the beans, and it tastes like drinking charcoal.

Even McDonald's coffee is better.

The first Starbucks to open outside Seattle was in Vancouver.

The only people who think that Seattle is not > Vancouver have either never been to Seattle or Vancouver (or both).

I also agree that Seattle > Vancouver.

Not sure why someone would think that Vancouver is better.

I don't have facts to back it up but I'm pretty sure I live in the Tim Horton's capital of the world.

Not sure how this turned into Seattle vs. Vancouver (both are great, compareable cities that I doubt anyone on here is any place to judge), but Tim Horton's is severely overrated. The food is god-awful and the coffee is pretty generic. Seattle and Vancouver aren't missing much.

Vancouver is the reason why I'm glad we decided not to go all in for 54 40 or fight.

I usually go with Tim Hortons, but I like Second Cup or Blenz better.

I'm from Hamilton, there's Tim Hortons every other block. Also, Vancouver > Seattle, and i've been to both.

The fact that trash like Tim Horton's is so popular is an embarrassment for Canada. I can't believe people will line up to pay money for terrible coffee and gas station quality donuts. You'd have to pay me to eat that crap.

Never understood the love for Tims coffee. I like to go for a soup every now and then, but that isn't very good, either.

Also, anecdote for y'all.

My cousin's uncle from his other side of the family (not related to me in anyway, met him once in my life) used to own a Tims. Apparently he had a guy sue him for an allergic reaction to the coffee. The guy got tested for allergies (because he had no known food allergies) and his tests came up negative to all common food allergies. His only allergy was to nicotine. The lawyers tested the coffee and found nothing. They tested the cups and found the cups have a wax lining on the inside of the cup that contains nicotine.

It is just a story, but it worries me.
