I know it's just one year...but you really have to be concerned with Thrower. While Dietz is doing exactly what I thought he'd be doing....the guy already looks like a pro.

Magnus Nygren with 1 goal, 1 assist after one period in a 2-1 lead. He now has 27 points in 46 games.

The beginning of the year was a complete loss for him, so it's not hard to imagine he's having a hard time adjusting but you are completely right... It's definitely a concern.

Nygren signs 1 year extension through next season with Färjestads.

http://www.farjestadbk.se/artikel/33921/

He won't be a Bulldog next year, as I expected. Fully expect we sign him to an ELC and loan him back to Färjestads.

In the games i've seen this year, I like what i've seen from Thrower in the offensive zone but do have some concerns over questionable decisions with the puck in his own end. The drop in production is a concern but when I watch him play he always seems to do something in the offensive zone of note (not always leading to goals but still smart plays).

Archie keeping it rolling with a goal and 2 helpers. I think he's north of a PPG now.

He's also been playing defence for about 4 games, and when's he's not playing defence, he's being relied upon to carry his line offensively and defensively. Windsor is essentially a one line team right now that really couldn't be bothered playing defence. Actually, all season they've been pretty bad defensively, but since Khokhlachev returned and the acquisitions of Aleardi and Giftopoulos, Windsor has become even worse defensively.

With that said, he was playing absolutely awful in January and he's actually been playing quite well in the last 10 games or so with all things considered. Can he play better? Yes. Should he be playing better? Yes. However, that doesn't change the fact that's he's slowly coming out of his slump and is heading in the right direction.

I watched the game here in Charlottetown yesterday and I think Olivier Archambault was alone on the ice. In the first 50 minutes, he was the only Voltigeurs noticeable, or close. We all know his hands, they're very quick, he has a solid wrist shot. Yesterday he maked very smart plays and he passed the puck very well. He was dangerous in the neutral zone with his abilities to control the pucks. I think he is worth a shot in the AHL with his creativity. He seemed to work hard and to be mature. But yesterday, he was overshadowed by the PEI second line Victor Provencher - Yan Pavel Laplante - Louick Marcotte. They're very good in all three zones together.

Yan Laplante would be a solid 4th to 6th rounder. Like Hudon he is a very smart player taht plays both ends of the ice and had a strong international track record. Maybe not as skilled but bigger and stronger.

Nice game from Archambault, he's got 11 pts in his last 7 games now with 4 of those games being multi point games. Set career highs in goals and points this season. Should be interesting to see how he does in the playoffs as i'm sure management will be keeping a close eye on him.

Tim Bozon's Blazers are on Sportsnet tonight against the very bad Vancouver Giants. Game time is 10:30 PM.

Excited to finally watch him live.

Montreal,

I just want to say that I think you are one of the best posters here, if not the best. I love your level-headedness and rational thinking in addition to your obvious knowledge of the game and our prospects. Keep up the good work dude.

The Michigan vs Ohio St game is being shown on tape delay on Big 10 networks, might be an interesting game, still surprised at how poorly they have done this year.

We should sign this guy as a FA, slick playmaker and works at both ends of the rink.
