It really should be within 70% of Canucks pricing IMO.
Different market completely.

VICTORY.

This is what I posted over in the sonics blog before the decision:

Otto:

This is really good judging, he is point /counter pointing everything that IWLU is doing, I’m guessing he knows he is going to toss, and this will get appealed, so he is building a case for appeal.

It'll be hard to appeal given the ruling of the judge.

@ChrisDaniels5: Seattle City Councilman Tim Burgess (@CouncilmanTim) told me there will be a #SeattleArena council briefing and project update Monday.

Might be related to Key arena plans perhaps?

Word is, after the pro teams are done with the Key Arena, it will be converted into a non-sports venue split into two stages under one roof. One will be larger than the other. The smaller one may be modeled after the ShowBox Sodo (which ironically will be demolished to make room for the new arena).

Interesting they would make it into a non sporting building. Make sense if all the dates that would go to the key end up in the new arena

Here is a quick outline last year of a letter Hansen sent to the city with proposed upgrades to Key Arena to bring it up to current NBA standards so the Sonics can play there the 2-3 years being discussed.

Also note all the NHL upgrades as well.

Discussions about the key should be starting soon on an agreement regarding upgrades.

Reason why Key is going that way, is Seattle Center is a historic site, and therefore why ShowBox will be imploded, after the renovation of 1979, which forced the Sonics to Tacoma that season...

Your dates are off - the Key was renovated and the Sonics played in the T-Dome in 94-95.

The Key itself (or at least the roof) has been designated a historic site I believe, which is why when it was renovated they had to keep the original roof from the old Coliseum. They solved this by simply digging down.

Love this

Seattle would win. Conversely, it would make even more sense to move the Coyotes to Washington if things stay broken in Arizona. They stay on the West Coast and actually move into the Pacific time zone. Expansion, whether to Seattle or, say, Kansas City, makes more sense in the West, too, because it would create a 32-team league with two 16-team conferences and four eight-team divisions that break cleanly along geographic lines.

Yes it'll be up then. Demo work won't happen until everything is finalized and the permits are approved.

Nice. I've seen AK3 live, but not Bad Religion. They've been around so long I bet they put on a real good show.

Showbox sodo is going down. Maybe your show at the Showbox market? (which is not going down)

If Don Levin owns the team, I wonder if he will decide to keep the "Wolves" name.

Now that Hartford AHL has become the Connecticut Whale might I suggest...

The Seattle Seawolves!

It even fits with the northwest native american iconography!

The Seawolves is a pretty solid name... could do a lot of stuff with the jersey.

I am in the market for a new favorite NHL team and will probably choose Seattle as I love the city and area. (Was a huge Leafs fan, then moved to Ontario and needless to say Leafs fans are more annoying in person than on hfboards)

Here's to hoping they get a new team asap!!!
