It is quite obvious this was not a routine hockey play if this were max PAC getting cut you'd want to run him out of the league . At least I am consistent no matter what the jersey colour .
Just one off the top of my head was Aaron Ward. There were many others.

As for Karlsson, I think it was an accident. But reverse the roll, if that's Galchenyuk or Carey Price, like said... many would say Cooke did it on purpose.

Same thing if your a fan of Toronto and the cut was on Reimer or JVR
Washington and Ovechkin
Chicago and Toews

That's just how fans are.. not much common sense or rational thoughts. Emotions get the best of us.
That injury helps the Habs , in view of recent years where it's been the perception or indeed the reality that injuries have sunk the team it is now with muted satisfaction that some fans want to see the Norris winner out for a while . I think this is wrong and the view from the league doesn't protect it's players from this adequately .

GMs and the commissionaire said Chara's on Pacioretty hit was a strong hockey plays also, does that mean that I have to believe them? I still believe that it wasn't an accident, sue me.

Jacques Martin who is a better coach than me and has coached over 1200 games likes to put Darche on the PP, I don't think its right but since he has more experience, it automatically means he's right and everyone who has less experience don't know what they talking about?

Right... You can't have an opinion if you don't have the same experience... Nice logic there.

We can always trade galchenyuk and price to Islanders for Martin and Okposo.

We can add size and toughness, plus pick Dipietro on waivers.

Has a compilation of Sens reactions and rest of the 'expert' reactions. Ward shows a couple example of players doing it in the game they were covering.

Just shows how desperate some have become.

I rather play the best and beat their best roster. Not get a backdoor victory and have to hear the doubters talk about it not really being a real victory because one team wasn't healthy.

I'm obviously no Ottawa lover, but IMO Cooke's play was reckless as hell and not the way to approach a guy. As Karlsson said, Cooke had targeted him before and (again, it's just my sense of things) I beleive that when Matt Cooke sees Erik Karlsson against the boards, there's a part of him that wants bad things to happen to him. I still have no idea why his skate was so high and so wide across the body. (Was he trying to hump him.) It's really not something you see every game. Anyway, everyone has their own view of what is, admittedly a situation that's hard to get a consensus on.

I don't think Karlsson is acting like a baby, nor Melnyk and other Sens. It's very much justified. People say to forget that it's Cooke. But it IS Cooke. That's a huge aspect of it. How can you not consider what goes through the mind of that cold-blooded psychopath?

It is absolutely true, however that they (Sens) are grand hypocrites with Neil running around. He's no Cooke, but he's not the kind of player that the Sens' brass believes all players should restrict themselves to (wrt cheapshots/intent to injure).

Honestly, I would rather see Cooke out of the NHL. It's going to happen again. Guy is a class A dirtbag and whether he's now shifty or not, he's still out there to do the same thing. Karma would have him injuring Malkin or Crosby in practice. Would never want that, but I bet if it did, guy would be crucified worse by his own team. Thankfully Avery is gone (not exactly the same, but a different brand of unacceptable). He is gone, right?

I don't think the Hall hit was bad, it was in the thigh and legal. As to the suspension who knows with this league, they are as consistent as the refs. Everyday is a new set of dumb rules they make up on the fly and depending on who is on the ice.

I really don't think Hall wanted to injure Clutterbuck. The play was dumb because he hit's him after the puck and he should get 1-2 games but nothing more.

On the Cooke s hit:
I do understand that he was trying to pin him vs the board, but I just cant understand the stomping motion, it s obvious, to me anyways, that there is a stomping motion and I just cant understand it why would he do that at that specific moment.
And Wards example in that video are just working vs him, pinning someone vs the board happens 20 times a game, every game, if not more, just not that way , and not with a stomping motion.

Happy for Ray Emery. He was much maligned just like PK has been here. The guy was told he'd never play again yet here he is with a 6-0 record. Good for him.

Still a very awkward goalie... Crazy how he's had this kind of success with such limited lateral movement.
