Matt Mays is in concert March 19 at the Ritual Nightclub in Ottawa. I'll be seeing him in London.

strong rumors of BAD BRAINS playing at Outaouais' rockfest.
(it was announced and taken down, still lists Toronto date)

this is gonna be insane if they come.

Bluesfest lineup is being announced next month, a month earlier than usual.

Blah. Her current song on the radio is terrible, and her previous stuff was pretty ordinary.

Wrong.

She sounds a lot like Adele, but more "rock-y".

To each their own. Serena Ryder is no where near the singer-songwriter that Adele is, and I'm not a big fan of Adele.

Nice.

As for Serena Ryder, Id describe her as a no talent version of Amy Winehouse. 'Stomp your hands, stomp your feet' that's some riveting song writing Serena. I love CBC 2 but god they push some mediocrity at times.

Not a bad grab for Bluesfest. It'd be cool if they brought along their touring partners Yo La Tengo as well!

Pearl Jam plays in London Ontario July 16 so I have my fingers crossed that they play bluesfest this year.

Who went to Bon Jovi last night? Fantastic show!! First time seeing the rock legends and it was everything I thought it would be. Man can that guy perform, still going strong after 30 years.

The Heavy are playing the Jazz Festival June 20th. That should be a pretty sweet show!

The Heavy would be great.

I think Bruno Mars will be playing Bluesfest. He announced his tour the other day and has dates in Toronto and Montreal on July 3 and 5, respectively. Then he has five days between shows. I'm not a fan, but I'm sure there are fans of his on this site.

I'm pretty sure they are. I'm not 100% on this one though.

I'm waiting for Osheaga.

This would be amazing allthough their manager was quoted as saying the London show would be the only one of the year in Canada, can't find it at the moment...If bluesfest brought in PJ or a band of that ilk my faith would be re-stored!

The 2005 3.5 hour show in Ottawa is the greatest concert i have ever been to in my life

David Byrne + St-Vincent is such a weird combo. I saw them perform at Jon Stewart once, and I wasn't really convinced.

Basically it looks like Jazzfest is the real Bluesfest, while Bluesfest is really Rockfest.

That was awesome in 2005. I've seen them 6 times and it never gets old.
