Chicago fans are probably happy that they don't have to see Hall on Monday

2 games.

Sweet.

Now we get to see Doan run one of our guys next game and the play go unpenalized....Again.

Hansen headshots Hossa - a superstar with a concussion history - and gets one game.

Hall misses a late hipcheck on Clutterbuck - a mediocre player with a history of questionable hits - gets two.

Nice logic there Shanny.

Idiot.

A suspension is understandable, but I still don't see how this is worse than what Hansen did to Hossa.

so Hansen gets 1 game for elbowing Hossa in the back of the head, but Hall gets 2 for a marginal hit?

Shanny's videos may help explain the NHL logic, but i don't always agree with it.

edit: i see the previous two posters beat me to it. great minds think alike?

Whatever. Now we can see a different top line, that's not all bad.

Well that's mature.

I give a comparable, and whats turns out to be fairly accurate guess, which is later explained in greater detail by Shanny.. in a fairly neutral toned post, and you have a hissy fit.

Didn't have time to watch all of those but 4-5 anyway... none of them looked dirty.

Thigh bruise? With the way he flailed around on the ice I honestly thought he had a broken leg or internal injuries...2 games is not the worst thing that has happened this year...its been a tough year to watch...not one bit of exciting professional hockey going on in Alberta so far this year...

He's definitely got a history of charging in his repertoire. Which is why a number of fans in here find it diffucult to feel empathy for Clutterbuck.

It's his job to walk that line and he does it very well.

Ya I don't know why everyone seems to think he is dirty, he plays hard and right on the line but whenever I see him involved in a cheap shot, he is on the receiving end. Some of his hits are boarderline but I've never seen anything that makes me think he is a dirty player

Also ppl who are complaining that its just a hip check, who throws hip checks skating forward at high speeds?

2 games is the right call imo, but I love that Hall is showing some nastiness

Hall should have elbowed him in the head. He would have escaped supplemental discipline.

1 game on any other team, 2 games for us of course.

First time offender clearly not taken into account. Everybody is out to **** the Oilers, what else is new.

No Hall in the Chicago game is going to hurt.

Ask Theo Peckham how he feels about that after being driven into the boards from behind head first from Cluster ****.

The Chicago game is going to hurt Hall or no Hall. We might be talking about a brand new low after that game.

For those saying clutterbucks reaction to a thigh bruise is over the top is crazy, it's a pretty painful experience, got a couple playing soccer and that play was way faster than a soccer play.

It's a reasonable suspension, it sucks but he was careless, let's see how the team responds without one of its emotional leaders.

I'm sure they could positively care less, TBH. That's going to be an ugly game.

Well I suppose the best responses we've seen from this team are when they hit rock bottom.. Monday against the Hawks is as good a time as any to get pummelled.

How does Clutterbuck not have reasonable expectation to play the puck? Clutterbuck himself tried to play the puck.... it went right through his legs.

I'm sorry shanahan, but thats BS.

Apparently all Oilers players have to do to make other teams get suspensions is bauble the puck every time they going to get hit.

I'm pretty embarrassed by the Oil fans whining on the main boards about the NHL being "out to get the Oil." It's childish and pathetic. Criticize the play and suspension.
