I'm pretty embarrassed by the Oil fans whining on the main boards about the NHL being "out to get the Oil." It's childish and pathetic. Criticize the play and suspension.
I don't have a problem with it. Opposition fans continuously go out of their way to attack our team, attack our players and on some occasions attack our city. We might as well respond accordingly. I'm sick of it.

Suspension aside, what this whole situation reeks of is that Hall is tired of losing. He was quoted in the Journal about how the team needed to take the next step and after yet another pathetic showing last night he lost it. I like that he hates losing so much, I'd like to think that it lights a fire under the teams ass but I doubt it.
Does anyone recall the last time a player received a suspension against the Oilers? Is there a website to look this kind of stuff up?
Remember Hartnell on Paajarvi last year? Skates all the way across the rink and intentionally goes knee on knee. Forget about a suspension... I don't even think that he got a penalty.

-Hit on Tarasenko no suspension he's out with a concussion.
-Giordano slew foot on Stars player and only a fine, $$$
-Hansen elbows Hossa star player gets 1 game?
-Cooke reckless play in the corner on Karlsson big fat NOTHING
-Clutterbuck performing numerous plays such as Hall in previous years NOTHING

Spare me NHL
For some damn reason Hall's malicious hit on Clutter**** created an uproar last night. I knew that they'd make an example of Hall.

Lol if you're tired of losing finish your checks, forecheck properly and don't try to dangle 1 on 1 through every player.

Its becasue he lied on the ice writhing in pain and then stood in front of the doors waiting for a stretcher so they couldnt start the game again. The bigger scene you make, the more publicity is gets, the better chance of a longer suspension. If he manned up and skated off in pain like most tough hockey players do, this would probably have gotten a fine like the other reckless plays. But becasue he made all the highlights lying on the ice due to his possible career ending thigh bruise, it got more attention.

What's embarrassing is "fans" who let this board consistently **** on us as a fanbase.
It's an unhealthy obsession and I've been blown away by some of the comments. I just don't understand.
There is definitely some inordinate amount of jealousy against us which surprises me because we haven't even won anything yet, lol. Oh well, what can you do. I'm not going to apologize for winning the draft lottery and getting Yakupov or that Schultz chose us.
