Ahhh...you gotta at least walk by and give him a little elbow to the gut. Or just pat him on the back with a devils sticker in your hand

I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it, but what did he do now?

I'm hoping Valery Nichushkin drops really low, possibly can happen due to the Russian Factor. I wouldn't mind waiting like 4 years for him to come over to the NA.

i think we should take forwards and some finnish goaltenders (read Nashvilles depth chart when they're not looking), with obvious exception if theres a Severson there. I like the Devils

How many players usually attend the draft? I'm 100% going to it, and I'd like to meet some of the players. Even though I probably won't recognize any of them

Not sure how plausible that is though.

You'd be surprised how many players attend (pretty much anybody with a chance of going in the 1st will be there). Sitting behind Adam Larsson was Zach Yuen who wasn't ranked higher than a 3rd (ended up going at the tail end of round 4 to Winnipeg).

During Day 2 in 2011, Fredrik Claesson was sitting nearby with buddy Mika Zibanejad. Ottawa summoned Zibanejad to their table and then they announced Claesson as their 5th round pick. Zibanejad then got to hand his buddy his jersey.

Devils used their 7th rounder in 2011 on Patrick Daly and he was there to receive a jersey, albeit that he lived fairly close.

In 2010, I was loitering outside the arena. Various prospects were still walking around proudly wearing their new jerseys. I took a picture for an Avs prospect and his family (pretty sure it was Sami Aitokallio). And then there was the humorous moment of seeing Kirill Kabanov try to get past security to get back into the arena.

With the draft all being in one day, I'd imagine that more 2nd/3rd round prospects will attend.

With the new CBA and compliance buyouts in the mix for the offseason, Draft day should be very interesting this year as far as player movement.

I'm a STH, Does anyone know if STH have any sort of dibs on getting tickets?

That's cool. Definitely looking forward to the experience.

I've talked to a few friends, and I'm going to go to the draft wearing a suit and tie and pretend to be a prospect. I'm going to try and convince the passerbys that I'm a draftee.

As a STH, you should have already receive the notice of STH benefits that indicated that you'll get one ticket to the draft for each season ticket you have. More details would be available as we got closer to the draft.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't go #1. My favorite part is when he deked out the camera man on the replay.

If that includes selecting one of them at #2 overall with the Rangers pick, I'm fine with that

MacKinnon and Drouin are two different players but like I said in the past, I'd take Drouin over MacKinnon just cause he would make everyone around him 10x better.

This kid has got a soft pair of hands ala Kovalev, his hockey IQ is threw the roof and he isn't scared to go in dirty areas.

Well, yeah, duh... Isn't that half the fun of the thing?

Have a random jersey made and half way through the 2nd or 3rd round, put it on.

Also, will Devils forfeit the draft pick from Kovy this year just so that no Devil ever wears '13?

Another Spitfire? Slated to go in the 20s or so I think. At least last I checked.

I like it. Fits in with the "Jersey's Team" theme.

Oh lord.

That or Lou was carry some salt with him and throw it over the player's shoulder when he puts the jersey on.

They have my version of the logo below it from December. http://www.icethetics.info/blog/tag/draft

Quote:
From what I've been able to find, it looks like the logo first showed up online in early September in a blog post on PuckCentralHQ. It was a post discussing preseason draft rankings. But there's no reference to where they got the logo which appears at the top of the page (and as a repeated background image).

It has also popped up on a number of other minor websites and blogs (which you can find via a quick Google search). But no official NHL sources or media outlets have posted this logo. That said, it certainly looks like it should be the real thing.
