I may be a Cubs fan, but I'll help you out. You guys added Jeff Keppinger and lost Aj Pierzynski.

Thanks.

I was aware of those two moves. Just thought we did something else to bolster a very "average" lineup.

Did I also see somewhere that Robin Ventura was offered a contract extension and he refused it?

Not looking forward to this season at all. If last year was far exceeding expectations and it led to one of the most painful seasons ever, and the team has only declined on paper, I don't know how I could go in with a positive outlook.

I'm not a white sox fan, but that's correct.

Has the Hawks fanbase caught up with the Bulls right now?

Are there more Bulls fans in Chicago than Hawks?

The Bulls control the casual fan base. Hawks base is smaller but 10 times as passionate.

Jordan era vs. Wirtz probably made it more pronounced.

Hawks are certainly making up for lost generation now, though.

Definitely more Bulls fans. With the demographics of the region I don't think the Hawks will ever have a larger fanbase.

Pretty much.

Hawks TV ratings are much better than the Bulls so far this season, so there's that, and the demand for tickets is always much higher.

Probably, the percentage of passionate fans is higher for the Hawks, but there's more super-passionate Bulls fans than there are Hawks fans of all types.

Exactly. The Bulls had the most iconic athlete in history, while the Hawks were simultaneously doing their damndest to alieante their own fanbase in unprecedented fashion. Luckily, the current regime is doing an excellent job of marking a very good team.

I had to laugh at the politically correct way you phrased that. And you're right.

They're around. Check RealGM. Fact is, it's just hard to get Bulls tickets. The numbers of casual fans are so vast, that at any time, most of the hardcore fans will be displaced from the UC.

No, it's not. Bulls tickets are FAAAR cheaper on the secondary market than Hawks tickets. And you can on Ticketmaster and get tickets through them for games next month. If you have trouble getting Bulls tickets than you just don't know how to use a computer.

EDIT: you can get tickets to the game Tuesday for $21 on Stubhub. You're lucky to find a Hawks ticket for 3 times that...

My friend picked up two tickets for Sundays game below face value. I'll be there. You're just wrong. And check playoff ticket prices if you don't believe that.

Where at, I would love to know so I can take my brother. Some proof would be nice.

You said Bulls tickets were hard to get. They are not, and I've shown how they're not. Your turn..

Im sure tonight's game will really skew the ratings even further between the Hawks/Bulls.

Face value is way below market value for Hawks tix.

They're much easier to get this season, where, you know, the Bulls superstar player is out. He got them off ebay. And the Bulls routinely are tops in the NBA in attendance. They've sold out every game for more than a decade. With that kind of attendance, you're just not going to get high levels of hardcore fans every game. When the playoffs roll around, though, the tickets are insanely expensive, and the crowd is very much into it.

Yeah, there's no way he found Hawks tickets below face on any secondary ticket site. Plain old lies.

Have to agree with IU. Hawks tickets are way more expensive compared to bulls tickets, and the bulls were every bit of championship contenders the last few years as the hawks. If we're ranking popularity in terms of what the market says, then it goes something like Bears, Hawks, Cubs, Bulls, Sox

That's just not so. The year the Hawks won the cup, we got tickets behind the visitor's bench for the first playoff series. $125 a ticket. You can't sit 100 level at a Bulls game during the regular season for that price.
