Nolan or Lindros? Honestly, I think both players are done. I mean Nolan hasn't played in 2 years; Lindros only had to miss what a year and a half after all his concussions. After coming back, Lindros hasn't been the same player, so I have my doubts that Nolan would be effective after 2 years off. These two aren't guys you can count on to really make a difference... but if they're going to make less than one million, it wouldn't be too bad. And if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Nolan as he seems like more of the leader type and a better influence on the kids.
This will be repetitive, but there are just too many question marks with either player. Nolan's has the back issues and douched the Leafs. Plus he hasn't played in 2 years. Lindros, while he is still servicable, is not what he used to be. The concussions have definitely changed his style. I watched a lot Toronto games this year and I was not impressed. Honestly I would consider Allison for his play last year, but I don't think any of these guys are what the team needs. Given the Kings luck with injuries I would stay away from either of these players.
Lindros or Nolan? Please, both are way over the hill and very prone to injuries, but what the hell, the last thing I expected was LA to sign Blake, biggest mistake this off-season for any team so they might as well sign one of these two has-beens.
For those who are interested, Eklund, today, lists L.A. with an "e3" rating for Lindros, whereas the other teams (Edm, Pho, Cal) are all "e2". That, supposedly, makes the Kings the frontrunners at the present time... barely.
How's Muzz been doing without JT? I can only assume he's been flourishing.
Actually, he had 10 goals in 25 games playing wtih Wayne Primeau as his center. He finished the year with something like 54 points in 63 games. Hey, I'm not saying the guy's an all-star, but it's a common misconception he can't score without Thor. He did score 30+ playing with Stumpel as his center a couple of years ago. And after this summer's free agent spending spree, $4mil for a 30+ goal guy is starting to sting less.
