No, it used to be a tie or a loss in overtime. The Hawks have lost 3 shootouts, which means they wouldn't even have lost a game using previous rules.

team defense has been so much better this year too. taking away time and space, getting in lanes, clearing rebounds and not giving up multiple odd man rushes/breakaways every game. looks like a completely different team than last year.
