No thanks to Buff.

Wouldn't mind getting Little though.

The Hawks are one of the top scoring teams in the league now - the weakness the Hawks have is anyone who takes a faceoff other than Toews. C'mon Stan - pick up a guy that wins more faceoffs than he loses. It will make the Hawks puck possession game even better than it has been this season.
Say faceoffs one more time.

You want another winger? If the Hawks are going to invest 4.4M in another player, long-term, they should be doing so with a centre.

We all loved Ladd as a Hawk. Just like we all loved Buff and Versteeg (for the most part).. but they're gone, they're now too expensive and they aren't coming back.

Move on.

not sure why you guys are so against byfuglien. he's serviceable defensively and one of the best offensive dmen in the game. he would instantly improve our pp and already knows alot of the guys on the team.

that said, there's no way we get him.

Buff and Hammer would be a great pairing.. but the Hawks don't want that expensive of a #3 Dman anymore. That's part of the reason why they got rid of Campbell.

As I just said.. move on.

I'm sure the Jets want him long term. He's an RFA at the end of the season, so they should be able to extend him.

Ladd on this team would be filthy, but it'll never happen. And I agree that we should go after a center, though. I was just joking around that we should get Ladder back if Winnipeg blows it up.

He doesn't fit with our top 6 though. Wouldn't be worth it.

Jets? Talk about Scheifele or Burmistrov. No way they get moved but that's more the player we'd need

Honestly now would be interesting time to consider trading Bolland in package for proven #2 C

Shaw is making improvements at C and seems to have settled into that 3rd line C role for now while Kruger has improved and has #4 C spot held down

Wouldn't be bad time to look at fixing #2 C spot longterm with Bolland as bait

Yes his unspecified removal from the game today because of an "injury" sure got me thinking that myself.

I wonder if that is why we didn't see Bolland in the 3rd period. I don't recall any injury happening.

Doubt Hawks would look to move a guy at this point (14-0-3) but I hope the Hawks are looking around league and watching some of the teams flaming out

The Hawks aren't moving Bolland now. Are you kidding? He's a prover playoff warrior and they're trying to win the Cup.

That notion that Chicago would choose to move Bolland, at this point, with the way they're playing and what they're trying to accomplish is crazy.

If you want a 2nd line centre, trade a prospect. If you then want to move Bolland in the summer - hopefully after winning a Cup - then that's when you do it.

I take back everything I previously said in this thread.
They're 14-0-3.
All 4 lines are playing well.
All 3 defense pairing are playing well.
Both goaltenders are playing very well.

Don't fix what's not broken.

He has settled in because the 3rd line is being sheltered thus far. Bolland's line is still drawing the toughest match ups and Kruger's line is handling a good portion of the d-zone starts.

This is true, you don't see Stalberg-Shaw-Bickell out there against the Sedins and Thornton and Marleau every time like you did with Bolland.

As usual people often forget how important Bolland is to this team especially in the play-offs, few players can shut down other teams top lines night in and night out like he can.

we won't trade Bolland. If anything, we add to the roster and a guy that would go is Bollig or Bickell

if we want him gone, it would be in the offseason

Hey guys, they had a beat reporter from Chicago on the Jets pre game and she was signing Oduya's praises. Sounds like he had some troubles adjusting but he's found his game again this year. Seems like it was a good deal for both teams now. We need the extra draft picks pretty badly and Oduya is playing like the puck moving, two way player he can be. Cheers.

It was never a bad trade from Chicago's POV last year, but it looks alot better now. I would hope that the Jets get a couple good players with those picks, but since your team's going to be in our division/conference next year, I simply can't. Good luck this year though.
