Cool, I have been wanting to see Thomas up for while. He has been red hot in Hartford. His biggest assets is his speed and his shot.
His one timer is phenomenal.

C. Thomas offers way more to this team than Haley can.
Yes different players . Still at some point if injuries occur wouldn't mind Haley as an Avery type pest something this team is missing as well . NYR need a little bit of pesty , chippy swagger to maybe get some teams on edge . Not saying Haley over CT but maybe a shot at some point as well .
My understanding was that he was more of a Cammalleri/Vanek.

Emigre has looked like straight crap in the AHL. Team seems to like Bickel

Last yr I posted that Torts loves Bickel. He likes his hustle and mean streak but he loves the fact the kid is the ultimate teammate and stand up guy. I was told by Rupp every team has a Bickel a guy the player root for and hope does well.

CT is probably the Rangers prospect I'm most down on. I don't see a long term future at the NHL level. At this point, there's really no other options as far as a guy who can provide some sort of spark to the power play, so I understand the move. CT has a good shot, but not a superb shot. He's got 24 points in 52 games, and while I won't lie and say I watch every Whale game, the games I have watched (or been to) he's looked like his size really hinders him.
If Thomas was 3 inches taller he would be top 3 material, no question about it.

I agree with your size concerns and that is the main reason why there are questions about his NHL readiness. But I disagree with your description of his shot, his shot is superb.
