@NHL: A @DallasStars win tonight would be the 758th since moving to Texas 19 seasons ago and equal win total they had in 26 seasons in Minnesota.

The Dallas Stars are so much better as a franchise. Dallas should celebrate and enjoy its own history.
But first and foremost it was the franchise's 1,516th win. Same franchise, same records, same history.

52 over eight seasons.

52 wins equals about two seasons worth of North Stars wins.

Here's a quick, sloppy photoshopped version of that Romo Jersey.

I hope they continue to use their STAR logo, they're not going to get that "vintage" feel Gaglardi's looking for with a new look logo.

Also take in to account that we were an expansion team in Minnesota, starting from scratch in '67. We were established by 1993. That being said, obviously our best few seasons have been in Dallas. We had some darn good teams in Minny though and could have had a couple Cups if not for those pesky dynasties (Oilers and Islanders).

Either way, comparing is pointless and irrelevant. It's one franchise.

Both teams made two trips to the finals.

Yeah the Lightning unveiled theirs at the end of January, so I guess they're not going by that timetable.

I like these, except for that name.

My guess is that they are waiting to see if the season hits the fan. If the team starts to tank, introducing new uniforms could prevent interest from declining too rapidly.

Hopefully there will be a strong playoff push instead and enthusiasm for new uniforms can add to it.

I'd assume within the next month based on what Lites said.

Ah, so much for the early preview then. Guess it will be at the draft like it is for pretty much every other team. What's another 4 months? Lites should probably be better at managing expectations though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually selling a decent amount of jerseys right now with the 20th anniversary patch and Jagr's presence.

Around the draft was when I originally expected. Makes sense even if does suck having to wait.

I hope the Stars don't wind up too close, I get a Pavlovian vomit response to those things.

Also, Sioux is a girls' name

Not trying to go off topic, but the Sioux were one of the most barbaric groups of Native Americans in North America. They were known for making their enemies unrecognizable after they were dead. The Sioux really f'd General Custer and countless others up. The name "Sioux" isn't girly at all.

Partly because 75% of their roster comes from western Canada or Minnesota.
