That second goal was beautiful. He is currently tied for first in CHL goal scoring amongst defenceman with 19 on the year. He's tied with Sproul and Rutkowski.

Duncan Siemens.
Since Thrower and Dietz swapped places, the Blades have been on fire. Siemens' shut down abilities allow Dietz to move around the ice and create more offence, and that's exactly what he's done. He's still playing very good defensively, but now he can hop up in the rush more and can taking more risks in the offensive zone.
That pairing has been absolutely huge for the team, it's incredible.

Dietz seems like a bigger steal every day that passes. Speaking of steals, what's the deal with this Brendan Kichton guy? He's had 3 straight seasons of 70 points or more in the Dub, but only managed to be drafted in the 5th round. He's not that undersized, so i'm guessing he's horrible defensively? 81 points at 18 years old is pretty impressive for a d-man, lol.
btw, Habs should sign JC Lipon. Guy is an animal. Got hammered from behind into the boards, i thought he was seriously concussed. But no, gets up after a few moments and starts throwing punches with the first Giant player he sees. This guy's going to be an NHLer, there's no doubt in my mind. Reminds me of Ryan White with slightly more skill.

Reason: forgot something
Another solid game from Dietz, just saw the highlights of his 2 goals, great wrist shots and a great move on the breakaway, maybe we can even use him up front in the future

He seems like the kind of player I would enjoy watching. I like his penalty minutes too.

He's still draft eligible, but yeah, that was crazy.
Yes, especially since he'd spend the first half of the WHL season as a 19 year old with his late December birth date. So he'd about as young as you can be for an overager. It's also quite possible he would be moved to a WHL contender since Saskatoon should be in rebuilding mode next season.
To me, it's just logic. He would play 25+ minutes a game in the WHL next year. In Hamilton, he may be a frequent healthy scratch or have a 3rd pairing role. Or he could be in the ECHL, which is always a bit of a dicey proposition.
