Your argument also neglects the gongshow support the Canucks have given Luo in his few very visible meltdowns.
Luongo has taken this team farther than any goalie. With the way he's playing now, i am more comfortable w Luo than unproven Schneids.

Actually I do. Take game 3 of the SCF for example. The final 3 goals of that game came within the final 4 minutes of that game. The team had completely quit. Had the Canucks scored some goals and remained competitive then those final 3 goals don't happen.
Also, if Luongo was good enough to win the Cup, how come we didn't win the Cup?

Did you see Luongo's numbers at the end of game 2 of the SCF in 2011? He was our Conn Smythe candidate at that point. Then a couple massively bad games where the team absolutely quit ballooned his SVP a bit. Hardly see how that shouldn't be considered. As arsmaster stated: stats without context.

Didn't the offensively inept Preds put up good offense the series before ours? Interesting that you think stats that include statistical outliers are relevant.

I don't know why I am getting involved in this but there are also timing of goals and quality that can really impact how a team plays. The game 6 first goal was terrible both in timing and quality. Good and bad tending can impact how a team plays offense as well.

Reminded of what? That the team in front of the goalie has proven to be mentally weak in the playoffs? That our team leadership is questionable? That our team is prone to completely falling apart in the playoffs? What exactly?
