It was written from before the season started that no back-up would have to play more than a handful of games. Back-up games. 2 things I took out of that:
1: Somebody more knowledgeable than me had ascertained that Bryz could handle the schedule, and thus this claim of him being tired is wrong
2: They ignored guys who could stand in for 4 or 5 games, and went with guys they felt could be worked with if a long term injury happened to Bryz. They'd then become the #1 and the matter of their performance would be a different situation entirely because the context and mentality of the team would be different.
bryz admitted to being tired on 94.1 yesterday saying that they played 19 games in 31 days and that they should only be playing 15 or 16. seems to me that this team makes as many excuses for them selves as we as fans do.
Still on the Bryz thing, he is like the little girl with the curl. Yes he was outstanding in the Pens game and then followed it up with a clunker. I guess I'm saying he still does not inspire confidence. There are too many times he lets in the softies. Great goalies are a lot more consistant. Maybe Boosh should have started against Florida, but he didn't and Bryz owed us a better performance. We don't need a better backup, maybe we just need to use him more. Boosh has always been a great backup goalie and thats what he does best.
