Grossman got away with murder out there; Not just the run at Kane after the whistle but constant interference on Ladd.

Good win by the refs

Jets played really good today, not just few guys putting the team on their back but solid play by most of them.

I think our hatred for the refs would ease up some if the PP was slightly functional. Really need to address (again) the power play and what Perry Pearn has them doing. Maybe keep PP away from the PP?

Special teams kills us again.

Really unimpressed with how poorly our entire D corps played. Hell, I think Clitsome might have been the best one! That's telling.

Winnipeg PP. 0/4

Phil PP. 3/6

That why we lost. I feel the Jets outplayed the Flyers 5 on 5 other than the last 7 minutes in the first.

Brutal. We had that.
Beyond the bad calls, its on the Jets. Philly capitalized on chances and we didn't.
There were times in the 3rd where the Jets didn't seem to care about trying a comeback, only in spurts, and Philly forechecked us hard.

Missed the entire 3rd period, was taking care of Hainsey's daughter.

Sounds like a brutal end.

I don't think anyone is going to disagree with the core of your message here, but you are going to have a tough time selling it as an absolute truth when the reffing is this bad, and the diving is this bad. I'm not arguing we lost on our own, but reffing DID play an outcome in this game, and that's really not supposed to happen.

We had two blown coverages on penalty killing which lead directly to goals. Also, I think Hainsey might have tipped Giroux's shot. I don't know whats with that, I mostly like Hainsey but damn do alot of pucks touch him and then go in our net.

I'm mad at the refs, but mostly I'm mad at myself for believing that a team with the worst PK in the league, Clitsome as their #2D and Postma and Kyle Wellwood in the the lineup could actually pull out a win.

Not having Enstrom hurts, but nothing they can do about that. And what happened to Buff in front of the net. I say commit to Buff in front and have the regular pairing of Bogo and Hainsey on the point. Bogo has the shot and both move the puck well. I don't really get Jokinen back there.

What a useless useless useless useless game.
The kind of game that teams like the Flyers just find a way to win, and teams like us just find a way to lose.
I really wanted to see them win this game to go 3-0 on this road trip.

Blaming refs for a loss is lame missed calls on both sides crap calls on both sides. Said it before will say it again Kane is a liability for the Jet's!

I think the PP is improving as they are able to get a cycle going for once but man do the Jets hate the net. Always missing shots and always wide on net on great opportunities. Sigh......

Bogo consistently drives the puck on net, and chances ensue from his shots. He is a legitimate threat from the point.. I'm with you, I don't understand the logic of throwing Olli out there.

A lot of things don't make sense on our PP these days.

I'm mad at slater for taking an extremely dumb penalty on the face off to create a 5-3 and Kane for taking a needless cross checking penalty. They're far more to blame than the refs.

Refereeing was not good at all, and is an easy target to blame. Those last two PPG should not have been disadvantages for us imo. However, our PP and PK are pathetic. Pearn has to go, it's fairly obvious what he has been doing isn't working, we need to switch something up.

As for players; Easily Bogo's worst game of the season. I liked the effort from most of the forwards (minus the often invisible wellwood, and Tangradi's worst game as a Jet) but our D looked shaky all game. We better hope another D man doesn't go down with an injury. I think Pavs is back, he has been really solid the last few games. This is what we need to see from him night in, night out if we have any shot at the playoffs.

Tomorrow's game is huge, we were just starting to get some momentum in the right direction, if we get on a losing streak here the season is over.

Problem is he's trying to pick the top corners because players keep committing to blocking him. There's no one to pass to because Wellwood is snake bitten and Tangradi... well let's just say I'm still not convinced to him being a positive member of this team.

Refs played a factor, IMO. This was the worst officiating I've seen in a Jets game this year. But yes, that doesn't excuse how bad they played on the PP and PK.

At the end of the day, yes the refs- terrible. Couple bad calls hurt us. But end of the day, your PK has to be able to kill some of those. My thoughts on some of our players...

Good: Kane, Burmi, Antro, Hainsey, Clits, Wright, Pavelec, Jokinen- All played very good

Ok: Wheeler, Stuart, Postma, Bogosian

Bad: Little- Weak effort, no passion
Ladd: See Little
Buf: When the game was tough and physical, he played like he was 5 foot 9, 170 pounds.
Tangradi: What happened since those first 2 games??
Thorburn: Good fight. But no hits??

Everyone else technically could fall into the ok category, cause they weren't bad but did nothing to help us win: example, Wellwood.
