11 points in 16 games is still pretty good for an NHLer. Obviously, it's not good for someone who's supposed to be a PPG, but still, he's .75 PPG.

You don't see any difference between a player playing with 2nd and 3rd lines and that had an ankle injury vs someone completely healthy, playing on topline, and getting 4PP minutes/night?

He score goal. Pretty nice one too. He was all over the puck tonight. He's streaky.

It's the same old story. If it's RNH, Eberle, or any other player that people on this board have "dared" compare in worth to Gagner, it's THEIR fault. It's THEIR play. It's how Eberle isn't getting it done. It's how RNH isn't getting it done.

Gagner?

It's Omark's fault. It's MPS's fault. It's the ankle. It's the coach. It's the GM. It's the first line for stealing all those precious minutes. If only life was fair.

Some people gave Gagner the benefit of the doubt, and he's turning out great.

How about those same people give Eberle the benefit of the doubt after leading the team in points two years in a row, and still putting up 12 points in 17 games.

Eberle's a great offensive player. Not sure what you're misinterpreting from what I'm stating.

When did I ever state anything about giving up on Eberle? Or not giving him a chance.

I do think he'll need to get beyond his bread and butter backhand tuck and find some other ways to contribute. Although its a great shot.

I'd rather him slump in a shortened season.

I am. I think most people on here panic and forget how young these guys are and how far this team has come, and still has to go. We have excellent pieces in place, they just need to develop. Eberle however IMO hasn't even been bad, more like very good as opposed to the All Star level we've come to expect. I've missed the last few games but i just know this craziness has been going on for a while and it was absurd 5 games ago so i'm assuming these past few games are much the same.

I think today was one of those slump breaking games for someone like Eberle. He had a goal, plus his shootout goal was more right up to his old self. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play well against Chicago.
