Scrappy sub guy.

Anton should wipe the floor with him. But, I like Anton, so I'm kind of biased.

Don't see how Anton should wipe the floor with him Chiesa has better wrestling and subs, and neither are great on the feet. Should be close.

Chiesa takes people down from the clinch, which is Kuivanen's strong point. Kuivanen has much better standup. It's not other worldly, but he's good technically.

This should be the point where Kuivanen starts living up to his hype, but Chiesa does have that weird build for 155 that could make him a pest.

I only see Chiesa winning if he gets behind Anton and sinks those hooks in, which shouldn't be too hard if he gets him down.

I think you are over rating Kuivanen a fair bit and to be honest I don't see him sticking around the UFC long. But I'm not really sold on Chiesa either so he may grind out a win today.

I think Kuivanen has potential, he's not that great right now. Chiesa can play into his clinch game though and I don't see Chiesa out striking him at all.

Chiesa could probably gas him out and get the sub, but I don't see him getting a ton of takedowns.

Obviously, I could be wrong. I've been wrong before, but I tend not to side with guys like Chiesa.

Kuivanen has underperformed in every UFC bout so far says his crew...hopefully he can finally perform in his own high level also in UFC... though the tougher competition might be the reason why he is underperforming. Kuivanen should be the fitter guy here...Chiesa had problems dropping the weight.

How much does it suck that Machida-Hendo isn't 5 rounds?

A lot. Hendo has got to get Machida to slow down to win. I don't know how he's going to do that in 3 rounds.

Maybe, but in rounds 4 and 5 Henderson is the one who would be slowing down anyway. I think Henderson is much more likely to squeeze out a 3 round decision than a 5 round one.

That's probably true to be honest.

It's hard to see Hendo winning this without a considerable amount of luck or a considerable amount of fence riding.

It's unlikely he will win, but I also thought there was zero chance Rampage would beat Machida. Now some might argue he didn't really win, but either way Henderson could at least do what Rampage did and get some helpful judging.

On paper Fedor was a bad matchup for Henderson too and look what happened.

So Machida should win but both guys have somewhat recent fights that make you think about Hendo pulling off the upset.

That's true. Hendo has some avenues, but on paper Machida is probably the worst matchup for him.

Wow that was a nice fight. Too bad that he missed weight by so much, but that was a great performance. I wish they would've showed the replay of the switch Burrell hit earlier in the fight, it was very slick.

I loved Villefort's attempt at the crescent kick after making Burrell think about the outside leg kick. Would have been beautiful if it had landed.

Yup, that was a great first fight. Two decent prospects who are still a bit too flawed to do anything in the UFC right now, but that was a fun one.

Yeah. I think a lot of UFC/Stout fans will be surprised by Fodor.
