That's what he does.

Since he is still in the lineup, and played Nine mins today ? (that's a lot for a fourth liner.

He must be doing his job.
No they dont play him like a forth liner He consistently gets 3rd line shifts as ive stated Do you not see him playing with richard in calgary or with stoll in games when stoll was 3rd line center? Hes there to much he shouldnt get 3rd line shifts I have no issue with him when he stick to the to the 4th line.
Again i give you the no pk or pp i never once said should or want him there. Hes being in the lineup is more no one to replace him there then his performance. As sutter said in his quote theres alot of things nolan is struggling with. As for 9 mins in a 4 1 blowout is more Ds resting better players then him getting rewarded for good play.

Nolan played two games on the third line(maybe three ?)....

I think you are confusing King with Nolan.

You know who Jordan Nolan is right ? He has maybe played Five games his entire career in a third line role.

You should be more concerned with Dwight King; a guy that IS asked to score and playing third line minutes.

King has done nothing with his minutes....Zip, ZERO, nothing.
I never once said i wasnt concerned with king to be honest the hole 7 lw for 4 postition is something i ve been concerned with since the summer but i dont expect anyone to remember. Untill we get rid of at least one lw I expect all of them to be slumping. If u look back i ve been trying to get rid of one since the draft. I think king actually played a little better tonight (not great but been worse) He made a few defensive plays that looked good. I think its the typical 2nd year slump myself. There were alot worse players then him tonight Nolan being the main forward one imo

LOL.

O boy.

Nolan played a whole two shifts less, than King...

King may end up in Sutter's doghouse a long with Nolan I guess.

I would love to know what makes you so arrogant to try and talk down to me like im some kinda kid. I know who im talking about Nolan number 71 the king who when in the offensive zone consistanly give up the pck for no reason. He gets alot of shifts with stoll and when richards played 3rd line he was playing with him a fair amount. He is not just a 4th line winger depsite what u think hes getting alot of shifts on the 3rd line pairing which is wher eim having the probelm with him. I think ur confusing your self before carter got here he played more then that on the 2nd line with richard and king. Your really underestimateing how much king has played off the 4th line.

King/Richards/Nolan...That line lasted exactly two games if I am correct this season...

Last season it lasted about Four.

Stoll was bumped to the fourth line this year for Two games.

Stoll and Nolan are not some pairing....Nolan has been a fourth line player for about 90 percent of his career...

Don't make me Pull every single lineup card dating back to last year.

I'll do it.... lol

That line last year lasted from whenever they first got here till the carter trade Im not sure how long that was but i think it was more then 4 games. but whatever. My comments about nolan started after seeing him play with richards and king in chicago i belive when he gave up the puck or missed a pass so many times i stopped counting. He has no offensive scoring he shouldnt be with richards unless there is game injurys and hes forced to double shift. Stoll and nolan do play alot of shifts together perhaps you miss them because of lewis playing on the pk and nolon moves up to cover a few shifts. which i dont like at all. You may not see him on with stoll ill admit hes not easy to notice unless yoou focus on watching him. I dont think its 90% at all more like 60 % and yes that is enuff to make me notice and complain about it.

Well that would be not correct.

Jordan Nolan starts according to NHL.com

Third line (last year)From February 11 through 22= Six games

Third Line (this year) from February 10 through 17th=Four Games

That's Ten Games of third line starts for Nolan.

Out of 62 NHL games played.

That's about 93% spent as a fourth line player.

He played game when he first got called up as 2nd line. So your missing those for sure. Also im sure starting games and getting shifts on would be alot different. As players offten switch during games especially with sutter as a coach. So if your going to be accrate try adjusting for that.

No website tracks shifts like that. it's done by Shifts and lineup's starts/Minutes.

Nolan on average for his career numbers. Is around 9.5 shifts and 8.3 Minutes a game....

That is a Fourth line player.

No one is debating if Nolan is a third line player, he isn't.

The guy is a fourth liner.

There is no reason for Nolan to be in the top six, or on the Third line.

Take it a step further, King shouldn't even be in the lineup.

14ga ZERO goals 1 assist for King....

Nolan at least has a Goal.... 14ga 1g 2A....

Id rather Gagne be back in the line up replacing King.

Nolan = Big, good skating, body checking, you kid, with decent hands, a good contract and potential growth. He is a good 4th liner as is nd will be outstanding as he matures.

Judge him on the role thats suited for him, not given to him on occasion and he is an important part of the teams future. Even if its on the 4th line.

Clifford - same speach, just a line higher. Perfect 3rd liner

- its nice to have these types on the team. they play in all zones for their respective talent and provide muscle and protect. This is way better then the Matt Johnsons, Steve McKenna's and Kevin Westgarths who were boxers on skates and contributed nothing else.

Lotta love to our rough and tumble guys. Even Greene as a bottom pairing defenseman fills this role.

I know he's big and fits the Kings style of play but I'd move him in a heartbeat for a young defender with upside.
King, not Nolan.

If a Team offered up something like that, Id be packing Kings bags as well.

His none production (so far) with the amount of minutes he receives is bad.

That's still a fourth line player..

Nolan should not be receiving third line minutes or shifts the guy is a fourth liner.

Sutter should keep him as such.

King looks to be around, 17-20 shifts and 15-18 minutes...That's a third liner.

then what the problem with my posts i was complaining about him getting 3rd line shifts not anything else and he wasnt playing as well as everyone thought because as even sutter said theres issues in his game. and hes shifts have been less then they have been at the top of his playing time. Other then the one fraser goal whihc he got a point on He hasnt been playing that well. We need more skill on the wings on the 3rd line and im sure before the end of the season we will see it. For kings first nhl rw game *( if he has played the rw postion before i dont recall. ) He played ok i remember seeing him make at least a couple of soild plays at our own bluelines where he ended up clearing the puck out of our zone. Nolan i cant remember seeing him do anything postive. Althou i will admit i was shocked to see his mins at over 9 and i did have to reboot my puter and missed a few mins of play in the 3rd So maybe he did something then.

Personally i dont really care who goes between penner richardson and gagne. The only reason i dont want to see king is signed for cheap next year and the others are fa. I do think he has decent enuff upside for the 3rd line role he plays. If we can get a decent vetern d for any of the 4 i say do it and dont look back.

I think People were reacting to you saying Nolan should be sent down.

Nolan is fine in a fourth line role, if the Kings wanted to grab someone off waivers. They could simply Waive Richadson or better trade him.

Richardson is rather expensive for a press box guy(1.2mill).

The numbers over all may or may not I havnt looked at other teams to see what the actually numbers are but hes still was getting the shifts when hes playing 4th line no probelm. we agree on this point i dont see the issue. other then u not seeing him play 3 line shifts as i have which i dont like.

why do people want to trade king and nolan, they aren't gonna get anything of use in return. and for bottom liners they do what they are asked to do.

I understand that is why im getting a reaction and honestly if they would have asked or looked at it as to why it makes sence. If someone should pop up on waviers that helps the team i dont want to have to wave others to pick him up. We can pick them up demote nolan and find a trade for someone then recall nolan. Putting nolan in the minors is not a move that hasnt been done before we did the same sorta move when we were trying to get voynov in the lineup he had to go down till we traded Jj, People over reacted without further questioning of why i said what i said like kingsfan at least asked me.( a move i was very happy to explain why and glad he did that. ) This board tends to jump on a person especially one thats not as popular or newer like myself. This schoolyard tatic is not cool in my book but that another issue i have in th hf board.

Now on to waveing richardson I totally agree hes to expenisve to play 13th forward but i wouldnt wave him I would try and trade him for at least a pick of some sort He can be a decent player when given a chance at least a 3rd round pick.
