I hate to be "that guy", but it's kind of scary to think that in four or five games we could be out of the playoffs depending on when other teams play.
That's why we have to keep winning. I'm glad we didn't let what happened with NYI happen tonight.
What a great 2nd and third period for MTL tonight! This is how the game against an inferior team in NYI should have ended thursday night. The Rangers outplayed us in the first but it was more on the possesion aspect than the amount of scoring chances. Pacioretty's hit was dirty but it changed the game, McDonagh was starting to hit our players and make our players look like *******. Tough break for Girardi tho, an unfortunate injury at a pointless moment in the game. Eller was in beast mode tonight, was creating plays, finished his checks and showed some nice stickhandling especially on that shift on the PK. Price barely got tested tonight, aside from that 2 on 1 where Miller ****ed up he didn't have to make any big saves. It's nice to have a line that can score and carry the load offensively when our other lines are not scoring, definitely different than the Cunneyworth era and very similar to the 2007-2008 team. Cole played the same way as he has all season but he was more lucky tonight on getting points on the score sheet, I don't know why the media is claiming that he's finally waking up. Subban had a good game tonight, was creative with the puck and was a threat offensively. Bring on the Sens!
Rangers' fans should also remember that our Captain is American, as well as two of our best young forwards, Galchenyuk and Paccioretty, two fans' most favourite players.
Absolutely. The greatest Ranger of all time, Rod Gilbert is from Montreal. So the feeling is mutual.

My view is that 12 more wins this year will get Montreal into the playoffs, that is the prorated amount of wins required last year by the 8th seed
At first I thought it was classless when they were chanting Biron's name when he was down but RDS feed showed that Biron was already up and drinking water so I don't think it was that bad.. but I understand Rangers fans' frustration. Terrible game for them.
Top in the east and 2nd best in the NHL. We are only behind a team who just set an NHL record for most consecutive games without a regulation loss. Holy ****. Hope they can keep it going!
That's true a lot of habs fans are complete idiots but to call the entire fan base classless is just plain wrong.
Now one wishes for injury or at least no one with common sense.
Good game for the habs the rangers are a good team just searching for answers right now
''turning on the Jets'' is like every time Pacioretty takes a stride, he is that fast. He saw an opportunity to hit McD while he was waiting to see which side of the net he would touch the puck at, and when he knew it was the left side he zeroed in on him. I agree it was sort of pre-meditated and he was indeed prowling him from the first hit. But he definitely did not jump into the hit and McD knew he was coming yet decided to play the puck anyway so he won't get suspended, he elected to get hit and make the play happen. McD got pwned and that should be the end of that story.
