Eller should have 3 points tonight. Took away his 1st assist. But seriously, how people refuse to see his potential and have given up on him is beyond me. He's been one the team's best players for weeks now, was only a matter of time before he started getting points.

It was a good decision on the first goal, Gilroy had it on his stick and passed it right to Cole. No way there should have been assists.

Eller has been really good.

Yeah. I have no problem with it either.

Even if he never puts it all together, he's already a great weapon to have on the 3rd line, there is absolutely no reason to write this kid off. You can't teach talent and while it's no guarantee for success, he's had 1 bad game since the first week.

Eller has 9 points in his last 12 games. Nine. That projects to 62 points over a standard 82 game season. 62.

Let the haters spin this one any way they want. And then laugh at them.

Pretty impressive when you consider that he has had zero linemates and not much icetime to work with.

So, as we suspected, it's the mental aspect of the game that his limiting this kid (outside playing with quality linemmates). He's too hard on himself.

What you think Eller has potential? You're clearly overrating him and you're a fanboy.

Hiring a staff psychologist is something this team should have done long ago. Never underestimate the mental side of the game.

As much as I want to say Galchenyuk-Eller-Cole is staying intact when Bourque comes back...I'm having a feeling it won't.

Unless Army is finally scratched and Prust returns to his more traditional role on the 4th line.

Come on MT.

I would much rather have Prust on that line instead of the black hole on the right wing of that line temporarily.

Can mods ban each other? Do you have ban hammers of different size? Have you compared?

Overlords' global mod banhammer would destroy mine, good thing he's probably too busy using it on Rangers fans right now.

What I've seen in Eller for some time is starting to come out. I've always liked what this kid had to offer. I definitely think he could be Plekanec' heir apparent for 2nd line C once Chucky becomes our #1 C.

I don't why people keep bringing up JM with Eller in a negative way. Martin spoke highly of Eller last year, acknowledging his potential and calling him a key component of a successful club. He also used him in key roles despite Martin being a "hater of rookies".

Some players are just more mentally weak than others.
