Just use Craig Ludwig for a few games. He's already on the payroll.

Jordan Leopold is available, and for relatively cheap. He's an expiring contract, and a serviceable (But not very good) 5-6th defenseman.

Not really.

Tom Wandell is the #1 center right now, but it's on conditioning assignment. I honestly don't believe he'd clear waivers since he's a pretty accomplished two way forward with speed. I don't think Dallas believes he could clear either.

Dowling is the 2nd center, and he isn't under contract with Dallas. Same for Taylor Vause the 4th line center.

The 3rd line center Toby Petersen is a veteran, but he's signed for 1 more year. He also has a big AHL salary at $250K.

No way! He's ours! ALL OURS!

... in all seriousness, he can't even crack the Senators' thin lineup.

Leafs are willing to trade one of (depending on the offer):

Komisarek
Liles
Kostka
Gunnarson/Fraser

(In order from most likely to be traded to least likely)

I'm bad at values, but I think we'd look for the equivalent of anything for Komisarek, a 2nd-3rd for Liles, a 2nd-3rd for Kostka, a late 1st or 2nd for Gunnar, and something like a 3rd for Fraser (not likely to be traded because he's been playing so well).

I may be off in values, there's a reason I don't do proposals

And there's a reason we're going to say go away with your proposal of acquiring high picks from us.

Lol, shoe is on the other foot now. Rozsival or Brookbank for Campbell. Got the idea from your GM's Grossman for Saad proposal last year.

Any other 4th liners who can take face offs available?

Dmitri Orlov might be available from Washington, and would be a good upgrade.

Maybe Colten Teubert from the Oilers, or Weber from the Habs.

Orlov was concussed, last I checked, and hasn't played a single game this season. A healthy Orlov would be hard to pry from WSH.

Weber has played 1 game this season which is 5 fewer games than Kaberle who, for all intents and purposes, is a $4m+ cement bag. Very cheap cap-hit nonetheless. Is he in the AHL?

Don't know about Teubert. He was picked by L.A. 13th overall in 2008. What happened?

Read as: He didn't want to give him to a conference rival without a massive overpayment coming his way. In effect, he made an offer CHI would refuse. He also asked for Hodgson for Ott from Vancouver (they offered Raymond).

Defenceman take longer to develop at times considering the number of roster spots available.
