They're not scoring, but good thing they got rid of Kostitsyn and Radulov.
Those two euro-weenies really lacked character.
Now they have a lot of character, they can lose with pride.
A couple bad apples can spoil the bunch. I didn't see you talking about how much they miss those two goofs when they were winning, odd. A third liner and a prima donna.

Nashville is more hamstrung by the fact they have underwhelming centers than one inconsistent winger who is not missed by us either--Bourque is superior to him now--and a winger who bolted on the organization, came back for half a season, and well, parted ways after that.

They should have kept those too, and i have argued that since last summer.

Whatever, better the habs draft at 40 than 50.
AK and Radulov would be top 6 on that team.
If they had both Radulov and Kostitsyn, Radulov would be top 6. But AK would be competing with his brother or Patric Hornqvist for a share of second line duties with Mike Fisher. In other words, they definitely benefit from Radulov, but Kostitsyn does provide much over the other Kostitsyn or Hornqvist.

No they are going for the hard working player who brings something every night and I don't blame them. Akost and Radulov don't fit in and bring a bad attitude that could spread. Being a habs fan one would think you would be sick of drama and lazy play.

I never thought AK was that lazy. I think that was just anti-russian racism, combined with the religious belief that as a former 10th overall he was a bust for never scoring 50 goals.
The drama was a fabrication. They were never 4 hours late for curfew.
AK is what he is: A 20-20 player who also hits like a freight train and plays decent shutdown duty.

They would also bring score 30-35 and 15-20 goals for Nashville. You know goals? Something that has been lacking in Nashville for years. It's not the Fisher and Legwand that will lead them to any championship.
And for the drama I think it was created by the management themselves. I still think it was a stupid to make the miss curfew public in such important time. They should have fixed it internally.
Why do you know they bring bad attitude? Because of being late for curfew? What does that have to do with "attitude". AK never had bad attitude in Montreal, he was quiet and did his own thing. Sergei was the one that apparently had "attitude" problem but guess what, he's doing just fine in Nashville, no more drama, no more off-ice issues. Weird huh?
Anyway, my point is not that they should have kept Radulov and AK but have to find some talents to play on their top 6. Hard workers is good but you have to balance that with some talents, especially when you struggle to score goal.

If Akost didn't take games off he wouldn't have been a 3rd liner. If what you said was true and he had any consistency he would be in the NHL right now. He had talent definitely but at the cost of a solid game.
Why would they fabricate a story in order to get rid of a player they paid with picks to get?

The last 3 seasons Nashville has averaged 100 points without either of them. They seem to have their **** together and know what fits on their team and what doesn't. Only in Montreal do we mourn the loss of these head cases.

I think he was expected to be a much more productive player than he turned out to be.
whata a great night for the former habs players! poulitot, pyatt, bergeron, ryder, grabovski, tanguay, streit and chipchura all scored, while wiz had an asist and ribeiro 2 asissts.
former and current habs players scored 11 out of 58 goals last night (almost 20%).

They'll still have Boston ahead of us because of their games in hand.
Plus NJ and Pittsburgh play today and have a chance to overtake us. If all 3 of those teams lost it would be huge for us!
Under no circumstance will we drop out of 1st today. Even if all 3 win, we'll maintain our lead. It would be awesome of they lost those games, especially Boston as they have 4 games and are 4 points behind.
