yea they are idiots to deal him......apparently the kid wanted a trade and well if Sauer never got hurt the Rangers would have a solid 6 D............McIlrath is also likely to compete for a roster spot next yr. Not a PP specialist but D is still pretty full.

Good players for sure but they are LD, Rangers are looking for RD.

But assuming no serious concussion issues going forward, a legit QB like Jake G is useful if not desirable at the right price.

Unless they can play better on their off side than DZ has, don't see a fit. And we don't need more PPQB's, it is not the silver bullet.

This is one valid view.
However, it is no less legit to consider thus:

But talent upgrade is more important than balance alone, which is supplemental, IMO.
Take 2 L Marc Staal instead of e.g. a L-R tandem at Stralman level.

Obvious downside. But also reduces asking price, and improved health would be windfall
