Yeah, definitely the three I'm most excited about. Was surprised especially to find the Selke one. Pretty good condition too.

Picked up a few more books at the book store today:

Power Plays: An Inside Look At The Big Business Of The National Hockey League - By Gil Stein (1997)
Power Play: The Memoirs Of Hockey Czar Alan Eagleson (1991)
Heroes: Stars Of Hockey's Golden Era - By Frank Pagnucco (1985)
Open Net: George Plimpton - The Professional Amateur In The World Of Big-Time Hockey (1985)
Hockey: The Illustrated History - An Official NHL Publication (1985)
Frank Orr's Hockey Annual: 1988-1989

I've been buying THN's draft preview since 2007. I wish I could get my hands on some of the older issues.

Check places like ebay and kijiji every so often. I see some from the 90's posted every now and then.

The Hockey News Yearbooks from 1996-present, along with a few random years from the mid 70s until 1993

Within the past few days I've been able to track down 12 of the 13 THN issues I needed. Now to find that final one..

I imagine it will be quite fun hunting down earlier years (prior to 58-59) should I decide to do so..

Hockey Digest old editions are on Ebscohost or whatever it's called. If your library has access to the database then give it a go.

I was in Guelph and stopped by at a Thrift Store trying to find Hardy Boys books and hockey ones.

Only saw one, apparently Lanny McDonald wrote an autobiography. It was from 1987, called Lanny, just a plain red hardcover book

Didn't buy it because I didn't know if it would be any good even though it was only like $2-3, I have too many hockey books to catch up on from nhltorrents and other used book stores and I don't really care about autobiographies.

Currently reading about how Ron Chipperfield ("best WCHL prospect since Bobby Clarke") and Bill Lochead are favorites to go 1-2 in the upcoming 1974 Entry Draft.

There's talk that a few "exceptional underagers" may cause the projected draft order to go all wonky. (No kidding, Chipperfield went 17th, Lochead 9th)

Also, some talk about Pat Price and his "Bobby Orr-like skills."

That is awesome.

"And with the 22nd pick in the 1974 entry draft, New York Islanders select..."

If people would be interested to see what they looked like over the years, I've thinking of uploading the covers of every THN from my collection (58-59 through 12-13, with bonus issues, yearbooks etc..) for viewing.

I already have the pictures saved in numerous folders on my desktop. It actually equals up to over 2GB worth of pictures.

Does anyone know the quickest and easiest site (web album) to upload these to? I'd like each volume to be in their own album, as that's how I have it saved on my computer.

So, if people were interested, I could probably do this.

After looking around, it appears that and photobucket may be the best options. Just seems extremely time consuming to upload over a thousand pictures onto a site like that. May take awhile, but I'll probably end up doing it at some point in the near future.

Anybody have old Goal magazines around?

Recently started collecting a little bit. Looking for certain ones - North Stars on the cover, Peter Stastny, French Connection.
